Newbay House Wexford

Newbay house is a dream venue. From start to finish Maria and her team service, hospitality, attention to detail was exceptional. Maria went above and beyond. The food was incredible. The house is fabulous and so is the garden. Highly recommend this venue. Such an elegant house. Photos on the website do not do it justice. You have to go see the house its amazing.

Newbay House is the dream wedding venue in a beautiful setting.Maria went above and beyond for us and no request was too big or too small.The food and service was second to none and all our guests were very complimentary about the whole day and how smoothly it ran.We would not hesitate to recommend Newbay to any couple for their wedding day.

We got married October 21 in the middle of covid restrictions. Maria and Robert at Newbay made everything so easy and they are so professional. We were made feel like we were the only people that mattered. The food was outstanding and commented on by so many guests which is rare. We would have no hesitation to recommend Newbay to anyone for their wedding.

Due to COVID restrictions we had a small wedding of 22 people. Newbay team could not do enough for us. With all the uncertainty around weddings that we were dealing with, the coordinators were with us every step of the way. They were completely flexible and helped us have an amazing day. Our original hotel cancelled on us less than four days before our wedding, so we got in touch with Newbay on the Tuesday afternoon before a Saturday wedding! Robert couldn't have been more helpful and the whole wedding, including on-site ceremony and accommodation in the Talbot Suites, was arranged in a matter of hours. I can't speak highly enough of the service that Newbay provided, everything was looked after perfectly, even the things we forgot ourselves in a hectic few days, the team at Newbay had taken of it. On the day, the staff (Maria, Phil, Gordon, Bryan etc) and their teams were more than helpful and ensured the entire day went as smoothly as possible, even providing a makeshift bed when one of our younger guests snoozed off just before the meal! The venue itself is amazing, and capable of catering from the smallest wedding (around 20 for us) to ten times that number in an incredible country house setting, with a large function room and smaller break-out rooms if required. The grounds are perfectly laid out for photographs etc afterwards. The food was perfection as well, can't fault any of it.

We had our wedding in Newbay on the 23rd October 2020 and it was a day we will never forget. Just one month before our wedding we made the big decision to move our reception to Newbay as our original venue were not very accommodating or supportive when the Covid crisis hit. Thankfully the amazing Maria & Newbay team gave us hope and made our wedding day possible. The first time we met Maria, she was extremely sympathetic and understanding of the stressful position we were in trying to plan a wedding during such uncertain times. Maria made everything easy, she took as much of the pre-wedding stress away from us as possible and on the wedding day, made sure our guests had everything they needed and more. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect location for a small, intimate wedding. The staff are all so lovely and the food is out of this world, all thanks to the amazing head chef Paul. A sincere thanks you to all the Newbay team, we couldn't have done it without you.

From our first viewing of Newbay we knew this was where we wanted our special day to be. The staff were amazing, professional and so accommodating throughout a challenging year.The venue itself is set on breathtaking grounds which surround a stunning building. Beautiful from top to bottom and an ideal setting for those picture perfect moments. We honestly could not recommend Newbay enough. The whole experience was seamless and stress less with a great team always there for whatever you needed. Both Rebecca and Maria carried out all requests with heart and professionalism. They are a credit to the team.

The Newbay House Wexford was the perfect venue for our wedding. We first met Robert at one of Newbays wedding fairs in September 2019 and after spending a few hours roaming the house and gardens our decision was made. We booked our wedding for April 2020 hoping to have 150 guests but unfortunately we had to postpone due to the coronavirus. Robert was very accommodating and assured us we would still have a fantastic day in Newbay House with the restrictions in place. Rebecca, wedding and events manager could not have been more helpful and constantly kept us updated with the changes to the coronavirus restrictions as they happened. On the 19th September we got married in the beautiful gardens with our families. We were able to make full use of the outdoor landscaped gardens, the Orchard bar and patio area on a glorious sunny day which made everyone relaxed and the photographers job easier. We moved to the Willow Suite for a delicious 5 course dinner prepared by head chef Paul. Service on the day was second to none, Robert, Rebecca, Phil and the team were absolutely brilliant. All of our guests were so impressed with the venue, food, service and staff. It didn't at any stage feel like we had a small number of guests on the day. Our guests stayed in the 10 bedrooms and luxurious bridal suite which is amazing! Everyone enjoyed a freshly cooked breakfast the next morning in the drawing room. We are genuinely so happy with how our wedding day went in Newbay House and having the venue exclusively to ourselves was a bonus. We would highly recommend the Newbay to any couple looking for the 'perfect venue' for their big day regardless of the number of guests attending. Robert, Rebecca and the team made our special day unforgettable and we can never thank them enough.

As a Newly married couple we are still on a high of how well our wedding weekend went. I cannot recommend this venue enough. The venue itself is an exquisite country house that has been revamped by the Talbot group with no expense spared while keeping the charm of the original house. It has stunning gardens to make full use of for the best wedding pictures. New bay was the first venue we went to see and after our first meeting with Robert the area manager we knew it was the venue for us. The house was still under a big renovation which was a risk as we didn’t know how the function room or gardens were going to turn out but he made us feel at ease and we never felt we needed to worry about anything with the venue. Never once were we told no whenever we had an idea or suggested something we wanted to do. Robert was always on hand if we had any queries and as we were not from the area he always made sure to be available for us when we did get to call to the venue to run through anything we needed to. The wedding and events manager Rebecca is an absolute lady from her organization skills and warmth, she went above and beyond her duties to help us with all the little details. Anytime we made contact with Rebecca she was always at the end of the phone or email. Communication was excellent and it really takes the stress out of your day knowing you have a team working to ensure the day goes exactly how you planned it. On the day itself Robert and Kevin the deputy general manager were front of house greeting our guests and ensuring everything went perfectly. The attention to detail from the staff was incredible. Kevin was with us for the entire weekend and anything we asked of him was never an issue he couldn’t have done any more to help us make it the best weekend ever. The food for the entire weekend was out of this world. Our meal tasting meal was excellent and we had no worries about the day itself but the food was even better than the tasting. The chefs absolutely blew everyone away. Since returning from honeymoon and finally catching up with friends and family it has been the top topic of conversation how amazing the food was. From the canapés when our guests arrived to the breakfast the next morning everything was cooked perfectly. We had our Day two in the house also and did a BBQ for our guests. We had tried to get numbers and advised the guys we would have about 60 people but as it turned out we had 115. The hotel never made it known the pressure they were under and ensured extra food and staff were brought in and made it all seem so seamless. Everyone has been raving about the food they were served that it was up to the standard as the wedding meal the day before. No stone was left unturned for us and We genuinely cannot thank all the staff at New Bay House hotel enough for all they did for us. Highly recommend that any brides/grooms in the Leinster area call to New Bay, You wont leave without booking your wedding I can guarantee it.
