We got married in this beautiful hotel with stunning grounds on September 29th and honestly our day was more than we both could ever have wished for. The hotel itself is spectacular especially since it’s recent refurbishment. The hotel staff were superb In the whole run up to the wedding and on the day they were so attentive to both us and all our guests. The food was also superb and all our guests commented on how good the day was. We can’t recommend Hotel Dunloe enough and we wish we could do it all over again. A big thanks to Jason, Niamh and all the team.

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Dunloe and we had a wonderful experience. Not only are the staff extremely professional, but they're also very flexible and easy to work with. We began our planning process with Jason Clifford, the general manager, and then worked closely with the new assistant manager Kayla Burrows. First things first, the venue is stunning. When we’re in the hotel, we’re looking at all the furniture and making future plans for our own home’s décor because it’s so well decorated. You can see people’s eyes widen as they enter the building. Each room has its own personality and you don’t get the feeling of fake luxury that many seemingly fancy hotels exude. This is the real thing. Back to the wedding… We admittedly had our guards up going in, assuming we would have to protect and fight for our desires, especially given how bespoke our wedding was. But our specific requests, no matter how strange they may have been (i.e., can we use a staggered stack of old books in lieu of a cake stand?) were met with warmth and flexibility. When a request couldn’t be met (alright, so maybe the stacked books were potentially flimsy and the cake would be at risk—thanks, Kayla!) The Dunloe would find an alternative solution that worked just as well or better. Do yourselves a favour and listen to their input because, at the end of the day, they have so much more experience with weddings than you probably do and, thus, a model for determining guest behaviors. Jason was waiting for us with champagne when we arrived at the venue and a vehicle delivered us to the castle ruins where we could take some photos before joining our guests in the reception room. We were lucky to have a beautiful day, and the Dunloe grounds made for some lovely photos of our wedding party and family. The reception room is my favourite — recently remodeled. It’s gorgeous. The furniture, the décor, the bar, the balcony and views — a perfect setting to share in tears and laughter with your most cherished people just after tying the knot. In greeting guests, I forgot to grab any canapes before they were done being served so a staff member ran down to the kitchen to make me a special plate. My husband and I began practicing our speeches separately once the guests headed into the dining room and before we were summoned. The same staff member offered me a pen, but I told him I wouldn’t need it. Thirty seconds later, I realized I had some changes to make. As I approached the bar, he had one hand wiping the counter and the other holding the pen out to me. These little touches are what made the day so special for us. They predicted everything! The food was wonderful (seafood salad is amazing as a starter!) and the service was impeccable — fast and responsive. No guest went hungry between the ceremony and dinner, and definitely not between the reception and dinner. The food was abundant and servers even offered our guests extra portions. Plus, they’d even offered some flexibility with menu options. Overall, they coordinated everything perfectly for us, including the song we would enter to, the timing of it, our path to our table — things we never would have thought of. They informed us when we hit certain amounts related to drinks, as promised—and always very discreetly. Although we’d coordinated our own ceremony and designed that venue ourselves, we couldn’t have imagined coordinating the rest of the celebration. The amount of work that must have went into it and the precision with which it was delivered will continue to impress us and make us smile when we think about our day. We highly recommend The Dunloe for your wedding day.

As we reflected on our Wedding Day in July 18 we could not possibly have asked for more. The Dunloe hotel surpassed all expectation and we will be forever grateful for that. Jason, Kayla, Matthew, Simon and all of the team at The Dunloe Hotel made our day so so special. Every member of staff we met were exceptional. Jason was our first point of contact in the Dunloe and we knew immediately we were in safe hands and when Kayla joined the team earlier this year we were even more assured if that was possible. No request was too big or too small and everything we asked for was met with a smile, good humour and the utmost professionalism. The hotel is newly renovated and the design and layout is to a very high and exacting standard including the outdoor areas. It is set in a tranquil area just outside Killarney with the Gap of Dunloe on its doorstep but also very accessible to the town. The restaurant and breakfast experience is a must and the coffee is excellent. Bedrooms are spotless with lots of space and really comfortable with amazing views from the balconies. The day itself was just magic, every one of our guests commented on the staff in the Dunloe and how lovely everyone was to deal with. The check in process was seamless even though many guest were checking in at same time after ceremony. I think the staff also did a great job of making both sets of parents feel extra special and offering them loads of help. The food and wine were better than we could ever have hoped and the service was what made all the difference. The team in the Dunloe is what makes the venue so incredible and we could not recommend it enough for anyone looking for a very special wedding day. Thank you to everyone in the Dunloe for all your effort and making our day so speciall!

We had our wedding at the Dunloe on the 16th of July 2016. We are based in London so had to organise a lot over the phone and mostly by email. This was not an issue and everything was in hand on the day, Jason and Veerpal deserve special mention as they were a great help throughout. The venue is stunning, it is unlikely that you will find a venue in Ireland (or anywhere for that matter) that is in such a beautiful setting. There are great views of the Dunloe Gap from the room you have the reception drinks and also from many of the bedrooms which are all fantastic. The dining hall is also beautiful and looked amazing on the day (Danielle at Abbeyfeale flowers / Tie the Knot weddings did our flowers and table dressing - it looked superb). The food and service during the meal was 10 out of 10! For photographs the nearby Dunloe Gap and the grounds at the Dunloe are perfect. Everyone complimented us on how amazing the venue was and that it was the best wedding they had been to. The Dunloe played a big part in what was a perfect day. It is a really lovely hotel to stay in, the staff are very pleasant and eager to go over and above. I really look forward to staying there for a few days when I'm not stressed out having to throw a wedding! Overall an amazing experience, we can't recommend the Dunloe enough ! Really sad it's over... thanks for the best day, Eoin & Sophia

My husband and I had the pleasure of getting married in The Dunloe in early July. I just have to write a review of what an outstanding venue and experience it was for us. We live in the ME and as you can imagine it was not easy to plan a wedding for 180 people from here, however Jason and all the staff just made it a seamless process for us. For anyone thinking of holding their wedding there please go ahead, you are in great great hands! Food, drinks, ambiance, accommodation, scenery, it was all outstanding!

My partner and I got married in the Dunloe early June 2016. What can I say, we had the best day of our lives! We live in Perth, Australia and to be honest I had my doubts about planning a wedding from this far away, however I shouldn’t have worried as Jason Clifford had it all under control. My many many many emails to Jason were always responded within 24 hours and always very professional. Jason always made us feel at ease throughout the whole wedding planning process. We checked in along with many of our family and friends before the wedding day and everyone fell in love with this hotel. It is set in a beautiful location and the staff could not do enough for you. I stayed in the bridal suite overlooking the gap the night before the wedding and it was nothing but amazing! To wake up to that view on the morning of our wedding was fabulous!! We had our civil ceremony in the hotel also. On the wedding day itself, I thought like any bride I would be a bag of nerves, but alas I wasn’t! The Dunloe definitely played a factor in my relaxed approach, as knowing Jason, Veerpal and Simon were there handling everything was bliss! They co-ordinated everything so well on the day along with their staff. After the ceremony, we had plans to go to Killarney for photos but we never ended up leaving the hotel! The grounds were just so beautiful there was no need to leave. I could not recommend the Dunloe highly enough. All our family and friends are still talking about our beautiful wedding, the food, the scenery. We are so glad we got married in the Dunloe, it was a fabulous day and one we will always have lovely memories of. We look forward to visiting again soon. Joanne & Alex Lamont (Perth, Australia)

My husband and I live in Birmingham but decided to have our wedding in Kerry as this is where my family are from. While on holiday we arranged to visit a number of potential venues. A number of people had recommended The Dunloe to us and once we visited it we knew why. From the moment we entered the long drive down to the hotel we knew it was a special place. The manager Jason was fantastic. He was so thorough when showing us around. We had our three young children with us and he made a real fuss of them which they loved. The hotel is absolutely stunning and the view of the Gap is out of this world. It really is in a beautiful location and there is so much to do in and around the hotel we knew it would be a fantastic place for all our guests, especially as a large number would be travelling from England. Having young children, a major plus was that the hotel is so family friendly. Throughout the planning Jason was so helpful. Any queries we had were promptly answered and he made the whole process a lot less stressful than we thought it would be. A large number of our guests stayed at the hotel for a few days. They all said that the service was outstanding. All the staff were so attentive and friendly. They made everyone feel like VIPs. On the day, the wedding was amazing from start to finish. We didn’t have to worry about a thing as Jason, Verdeep and the team had everything perfectly organised and running smoothly. The venue was perfect, it looked beautiful, the food was delicious and all the guests commented on what an amazing place it was. The staff were so helpful. One of our guests lost wipes for her baby and one of the staff actually went to the shop to get some for her! We will definitely come back to the hotel with our children, as will a number of our guests, as it is such a fabulous place. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough if you are looking for a wedding venue in Kerry. We had 5 star treatment from beginning to end!

Myself and my husband had our wedding ceremony in the Dunloe hotel a few weeks ago. The level of service the hotel provided was outstanding, not just on the day itself but the weeks and months leading up to it. From the very beginning with our consultation with Jason we were very confident in the choice we made to have our wedding reception here. They had everything under control and were always available with some good advice. The hotel grounds are spectacular and make a great spot for some photos. The gap of Dunloe is also very close if you choose to go there. We selected beef or brill as our choice of mains and both were excellent, perfectly cooked. I didn't try it but quite a few people commented on how good the pea and mint risotto was also (celiac option). The red wine was served at the perfect temperature. On the day itself Vikram was at hand organising everything around us. He and the team were very attentive and ensured all of the guests were happy. Overall I would highly recommend the hotel. Looking forward to our next visit!

We recently had our wedding reception at the Dunloe Hotel in May 2015 and it was beyond fantastic. From the moment we selected the hotel to be part of our big day, Jason and his team were ready to help with anything, no matter how big or small. Any time we went to the hotel during the planning phase, food tasting we were greeted by Jason and the warm and friendly staff who make you feel at home immediately. As for the day itself it was absolutely amazing, everything ran very smoothly and calmly. The drinks reception was amazing with the breathtaking views to top off the lovely glasses of bubbles that were flowing. The function room was beautifully laid out and all our extra touches perfectly presented. The food was exquisite and is still spoken about by our guests to this day! The wedding suite itself was pure luxury, as well as the breath taking scenery from the balcony. It was the most sensational day that we will never forget and we would like to thank Jason and all this team for making our wedding so memorable and special.

When we first went about looking at hotels for our wedding we weren’t sure what we were looking for. We didn’t even know exactly what county we would have it. So our list of hotels visited was quite comprehensive. We visited the Dunloe when it was actually under construction during renovations. We were met by trucks, labourers etc. but we were still sold on the place. That all started with the grounds and the surrounding views which to say they are spectacular doesn’t quite do it service. We next met Jason – who couldn’t have been nicer to us. He showed us around including where the drinks reception could be (2 choices depending on weather both better than we’d seen anywhere else), the hotel rooms including the bridal suite, where our guests would stay and finally the room where our reception would be. This room is perfectly sized and laid out. It has great natural light coming into it and also has great views from all angles of the surrounding scenery. We were sold. The leading up to the day itself is always going to be hectic but in Jason we couldn’t have asked for more. He has vast experience of what works and doesn’t and helped us through every step. Recommendations for florists, music, surprises, church or anything else we could possibly think of. Menu tasting also couldn’t have went smoother. On the day itself everything was just perfect. The venue, the food, the service, the grounds, everything. Couldn't have asked for more. Small touches that you never think about or ask for – the Dunloe delivered. Little things like the canopies and champagne been sent down to us while we were down doing our photos on the opposite end of the grounds to where the drinks reception was. Having a car sent down to pick us up from the photos so we could get back to our guest asap. The Dunloe delivered on everything they said they would and then did a lot more. All our guests are still talking about how amazing it all was and how nice the food was on the day. They really bent over backwards to make our day so special and were so attentive to our every need. The bridal suite was so beautiful and spacious. It needed to be on the morning as there was hairdressers, makeup people, photographers, videographer as well as bridesmaids and family. And yet there is a certain calmness you get while looking out at horses running on the grounds with a backdrop of the gap of Dunloe. All the rooms our guests stayed also had beautiful views. We ourselves will be back at this hotel as it is so special to us now but we were surprised to hear that several of our guests within a week after had booked a weekend later in the year for their families. In closing this is a 5 star hotel but at no point is there a snobby feel about the place. The entire staff couldn’t have been friendlier or nicer. Staff choice is obviously very important to the hotel and it shows. This hotel is part of our lives for the rest of our days and starting your marriage here is getting everything off to the best possible start

My wife and I had our wedding there an the 9th of may 2015. It was simply amazing, the food, the service, attention to detail were all second to none. All the staff were brilliant especially the hotel manager and assistant manger, they took care of everything and no request was too small or too big. The best hotel i have ever been, fully deserving of its 5 star status! Thanks again Jason and Verpal

"Honestly, we could not recommend The Dunloe more highly as a wedding venue. As a five star hotel it meets all expectations in terms of an eloquent setting (boasting arguably the most scenic views of the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks), luxury and comfort. However, what sets it apart from many other five star hotels is its staff and their leader, the hotel manager, Jason Clifford. In the run up to our wedding, Jason was always contactable and met our every demand with a can-do attitude. No is just not a word that features in his vocabulary. In addition to pandering to all of our needs, the staff at The Dunloe, drawing on their wealth of experience in hosting wedding receptions, provided us with many useful tips and resources which facilitated the event planning process. The day itself ran without a hitch and not once was myself or my husband ever interrupted with any complications or problems. After the wedding, many of our guests not only complimented the hotel‘s surroundings and amenities but also gushed about how amazing the staff treated them. It was truly great to hear our guests say this because our primary focus in terms of the reception was that our guests would thoroughly enjoy themselves. There is a great amount of comfort in knowing that the hotel’s staffs’ extremely obliging and courteous manner not only extended to me and my husband but to all our guests as well. Just one example, of the many I could give, of how the hotel staff goes above and beyond their duties without dramatics is how I had forgotten to inform the hotel of a particular guest’s food allergies. The day after our wedding, the particular guest affected came up and thanked me for providing a special menu for her. Mortified, I confessed I had not actually told the hotel about her situation. As it transpires, when ordering she reminded her waiter that she was the guest with the food allergies: wrongly assuming I had already told the hotel of her requirements which had been clearly set out in her RSVP. Rather than telling her it had not being given advance notice, behind the scenes the hotel somehow seamlessly came up with an entirely separate and, I am told, equally delicious menu for her. Each course of which came out in conjunction with our other guests’ courses."

We cannot recommend The Dunloe highly enough - we had the wedding day of our dreams here thanks to the amazing staff and management at the hotel. Nothing was too much hassle, everything just ran so so smoothly in both the lead up to and on the day itself. We spent some fabulous time at The Dunloe prior to our wedding, for our menu tasting and to stay the night and we were always made feel so welcome. The day itself was impeccable and the service was outstanding. The meal was divine - guests are still talking about the quality of the food!! The accommodation and the surroundings of the hotel are wonderful, it has a lovely calm atmosphere and we can't wait to revisit as soon as possible!!

We can't recommend The Dunloe highly enough. From the first time we visited we were made feel so welcome in this wonderful hotel. The surroundings are breathtaking and you really feel like you are in another world, away from the hustle and bustle. There is a lovely calm atmosphere in the hotel and everyone we met during our visits was so pleasant and professional. We know that first day that we had found our venue. The planning process was then made so simple by Jason the manager and we also had a great experience with Corinna, indeed everyone we met was lovely! The day itself ran like a dream, every detail was perfectly paid attention to and we were in great hands. We would highly recommend The Dunloe and will definitely be returning! Ps Would def suggest the fillet beef for main course - it was divine!!

A FANTASTIC WEDDING!! My Husband and I got married in The Dunloe on the 28th September 2013. From the first visit to see the hotel Jason and the team were absolutely fantastic. Nothing we asked for was ever a problem - even a big screen to watch the hurling final replay was no problem and all our guests loved it! The day of our wedding was just seamless from start to finish, Jason was waiting at the front door with champagne for us on our arrival and the minibus was on standby to transport the bridal party around the grounds for our photographs. The photographs are beautiful such a stunning location! While we were taking our photographs our guests were treated to delicious canapés. All the staff in the hotel were so friendly and helpful and made our guests day and our day even better than we had hoped for. The reception room was just beautiful. The meal was without doubt top class and 5 star service from all from start to finish, all our guests are still raving about the meal. The staff were always on hand to offer extra servings of meat or vegetables and there were plenty of options on the children’s menu. We cannot recommend The Dunloe highly enough, the location, the staff, the service , everything is TOP CLASS!! A massive Thank you to Jason and all you Staff for giving us the wedding of our dreams. Also a special mention to Bridie who took such great care of us on the top table!

We recently had our wedding at the Dunloe and stayed there for the 3 nights, what an amazing hotel it really lives up to its 5 star rating and more, fantastic service, excellent food, everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful we had the dream wedding and couldn't recommend it more highly, nothing was too much trouble and as we live in Sweden we organised the whole thing over the phone and by email with the manager Jason, a big thank you to everyone at the Dunloe for an unforgettable weekend!

My Husband and I got married in The Dunloe on the 1st August 2013. Like many young Irish we now live in Australia. We organised everything with the manager Jason over the phone or by email. I arrived home a few weeks prior to the wedding. I must admit I was a little nervous but I need not have been. From the moment we made our booking Jason and the team went above and beyond. Nothing I asked for was ever a problem. On the day of our wedding the weather was terrible but Jason was there at the front door with umbrellas and champagne to welcome us. He had helpful suggestions for photograph locations and had a mini bus on standby to transport the bridal party around the grounds. While we were taking our photographs our guests were treated to delicious canapés in luxurious surroundings. The reception room was beautiful with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It's been 2 months and my guests are still talking about how good the meal was. I was amazed at how fast everyone was served. The staff were always on hand to offer extra servings of meat or vegetables. The whole day ran so smoothly. The staff were always there to guide and prompt us like when to enter the room or when to start the speeches. They were all so wonderful and friendly. I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment and the services we received at The Dunloe.

We celebrated our wedding in the beautiful Dunloe Castle Hotel in July 2013. We had an amazing, memorable day that was made possible by the outstanding service provided by the team in the Dunloe. There are many aspects of this hotel that impressed us and our guests. Firstly, it is set in beautiful grounds against the spectacular background of the Dunloe gap. As a result we took all of our photographs on the hotel grounds leaving us more time to spend with our guests. As the weather was beautiful we had our drinks reception outdoors under the gazebo and the large outdoor terrace adjoining the function room was used a lot during the evening. The food was excellent, from the canapés to the fillet of beef; which was singled out for much praise by many guests. There were a number of the wedding party who had young children at the wedding and they were very impressed with the amenities provided by the hotel; indoor heated swimming pool, large playground, kids club and provision of babysitters. Perhaps the biggest aspect of the hotel that impressed us so much were the staff. Jason Clifford and his team provided us with a superb service, managing to provide excellent attention to detail while maintaining a lovely relaxed feel to the occasion. It is obvious that this hotel prides itself on providing an outstanding, personal wedding service. We would like to thank the hotel and staff for making our wedding day so special and would highly recommend the Dunloe as a wedding venue to other couples.

Myself and my husband gave ourselves 2 years to plan our wedding, but, being the impatient souls we are ditched that plan and decided to do it all in just 4 months. We knew from the very first instant that we drove up the fairy tale drive that this was the hotel for us. We arrived on a dull, wet and miserable day and yet The Dunloe still looked out of this world. Jason is an absolute credit to the wedding planning area of this hotel he really couldn't have been any more attentive; nothing was impossible. We knew we were in safe hands. Not once did we panic wondering would everything be done, it just was. The atmosphere was literally unforgettable, as many of our guests keep saying, months on! Jason and his team ensured all guests were well looked after. It really meant a lot to us to have someone who knew how much we wanted everyone to enjoy every second of our day. We were free and easy in the knowledge everyone was looked after and we could bask in the atmosphere! The room itself is amazing, the first time I saw it my breath was swept away. I would recommend to anyone to go down on a dull day, then you can really get the sense of how spectacular your day can be even when the weather isn't on your side :) the layout is impeccable, you can see each and every one of your guests from the top table, and they can see you. We had roughly 150 at our wedding and everyone was comfortable (although if memory serves me right the room can take 220 easily). The food deserves a paragraph all to itself! The tasting was so professionally conducted that we actually learned quite a bit about wines and which ones to choose. The wines on offer are of great value and Duncan is definitely your man when it comes to advice! We were nearly rolled out of the hotel that evening we were so full! We would highly, HIGHLY recommend the fillet beef and salmon, each and every guest commented on the food, and still are! First time I've ever heard guests raving about the vegetable soup, food was immaculate, enough said! I was so excited that day I didn't get to eat my dinner (husband made sure he did though, typical!) but one of the lovely staff, Mary, ensured I ate something and gave me my weight in desserts! This just shows how attention to detail is second to none, they are a genuinely caring staff, from Jason right through. All in all, I'm so glad we went with our gut instincts and chose this hotel. There are hotels that will offer you the sun, moon and stars for business but The Dunloe actually delivers on its promises, you get what you pay for and the memories are priceless. I'm sure there were areas I fell down on as a nervous bride to be, but Jason and Louise picked up on all the pieces I forgot and gave us a day we will truly and honestly never forget, it was seamless. I cannot thank them enough

This hotel is absolutely STUNNING. The staff are so professional, accomodating and pleasant. The food at our wedding was absolutely gorgeous. We honestly had the best day because we were in the hands of a true professional in the form of Jason Clarke the hotel manager. He is absolutely brilliant at his trade is incredibly accomodating, nothing was a problem for him. I genuinely can not say enough good things about the hotel. Visit it yourself and like we did I'm sure you'll fall in love with it. If you want to give your guests a brilliant day out and one they'll remember against the blurrs of every other wedding, book Hotel Dunloe Castle:)

We had our wedding at Hotel Dunloe Castle in June 2011 and it was wonderful from start to finish. Dunloe has the advantage of being a very plush and luxurious hotel, but with no sense of the stiffness that you get in many 5 star hotels. This is due to the fantastically warm and friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel thoroughly at home. They are very experienced at weddings and provided a smooth and polished service. The planning phase was effortless for us, as it was clear from very early on that we were in good hands. We had a fabulous experience on the day itself, everything ran perfectly and there was a great sense of calm and relaxation. The function room was laid out beautifully, and having the dancefloor in the middle worked really well. Once the dancing had ended, we had a big sing song that went on until the early hours and there was no pressure on us to leave the function room. Our guests raved about the food, which was exquisite, as well as the breath-taking scenery to be viewed from every angle of the hotel. Those who stayed overnight were also delighted with the absolute luxury of their rooms. I can't wait to go back for more pampering for our anniversary! Thanks to everyone at Dunloe for making our wedding so special.
