The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens

The venue was perfect, the Dunloe team were amazing & really attentive leading up to the wedding & on the day itself, food was gorgeous.

Beautiful venue. Beautiful staff. Was looked after from start to finish. Wish we had more time to enjoy the honeymoon suite

My wife and I had the most amazing wedding day. Jason and Rachael were fantastic throughout the wedding process and were constantly helping us and giving us tips along the way. The hotel is a hidden gem and all of our guests were amazed by the facilities for both adults and kids. The gardens and ruin are perfect for the wedding pictures and ensured that we got photos done as efficiently as possible so that we could get on with the rest of the day. The food was top notch and service during the day was faultless. The wedding tasting was the perfect opportunity for us to confirm which choices we were going to put on our wedding menu. The wedding suite is also amazing. We will definitely be returning to the hotel in the future and we are sure that many of our guests will be as well. Would give the hotel a 10 out of 10.

Stunning venue with excellent service from wedding team and all staff! The team are so organised and accomodaying and always a step ahead so there is never anything to worry about. Particular thanks to Klaudia who is a pleasure to deal with and excellent for advising, clear communication and support.

We had our reception in the Dunloe Hotel in early October and wow! It exceeded every expectation! From the start Jason, Niamh and the team were fantastic to deal with, they made our day so easy and everything was exceptional quality and customer service. We would highly recommend any couple to have their reception here, it will be the best decision you made! Thanks to you at at the Dunloe Hotel & Gardens for the most special day. Emily & Ger

From the moment we picked the Dunloe as our wedding venue, the service we received was 5 star. On the lead up to the wedding we were treated like VIP's by Jason, Niamh and all of the Dunloe staff. The staff could not be more helpful and really make you feel at home. From the food, quality wine, accommodation and room layout the Dunloe is second to none. On the wedding day itself, the service and presentation of the hotel, the reception and the dining room was impeccable. There was no stress organising our wedding as Jason and Niamh took care of everything. We had an elderly parent and grandparents with us who needed wheelchair assistance. On a few occasions throughout the evening Niamh was a huge help and went out of her way for them. The food and ambience at the reception and at the dinner itself was amazing, all our family and friends are still raving about it 3 weeks later. The wedding rate accommodation is very reasonable including breakfast (which was delicious). All of our friends and family are so excited to go back. If we could give this venue more then 5 stars for a wedding we would! Thanks so much again Jason, Niamh and all the staff

Myself and my now husband got married at The Dunloe on July 06th. From the very first day when we visited for our initial wedding consultation to the big day, the staff at this hotel have been nothing short of amazing!

Both myself and my husband were very familiar with the hotel before choosing it as our wedding venue, however we were still blown away by the level of professionalism displayed by all staff members going from front desk to kitchen staff, bar staff, accommodation and everywhere in between.
Special mention to Cormac at reception, Pearce in the bar, Mike in the restaurant.

I would especially like to recognise Jason Clifford General Manager and Niamh Coakley who ensured we had the very best day!

I would highly recommend The Dunloe as a wedding venue and we will be returning, it was always a special place for us and now it means so much more!

My husband and I got married in Killarney in June 2019. We had our ceremony at St Mary's Cathedral and our wedding reception at The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens. We live in London and Jason and Niamh made it so easy for us organising a wedding from overseas. From the first email to Jason about The Dunloe being our potential wedding venue, to Jason meeting us and taking us through all the details and then finalising all the parts for our big day, there was nothing too much trouble or too big an ask. They made us, along with all our family and friends feel so welcome (we had 200 guests fly over from the UK). Everything was 5* perfection and luxury. The Friday night we had drinks in The Bar and the atmosphere was amazing. The day of the wedding was seemless; Jason, Niamh and all their staff are perfectionists and are so well organised. The food was INCREDIBLE! All our guests have commented on how amazing the food was. The honeymoon suite was so beautiful and just the quality of everything in the room was amazing! We honestly can't thank everyone enough at The Dunloe for giving us the wedding of our dreams and making it a weekend we will never forget!! Love Ben & Sarah Coker x

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Dunloe and we had a wonderful experience. Not only are the staff extremely professional, but they're also very flexible and easy to work with. We began our planning process with Jason Clifford, the general manager, and then worked closely with the new assistant manager Kayla Burrows.

First things first, the venue is stunning. When we?re in the hotel, we?re looking at all the furniture and making future plans for our own home's d?cor because it's so well decorated. You can see people's eyes widen as they enter the building. Each room has its own personality and you don't get the feeling of fake luxury that many seemingly fancy hotels exude. This is the real thing.

Back to the wedding? We admittedly had our guards up going in, assuming we would have to protect and fight for our desires, especially given how bespoke our wedding was. But our specific requests, no matter how strange they may have been (i.e., can we use a staggered stack of old books in lieu of a cake stand?) were met with warmth and flexibility. When a request couldn't be met (alright, so maybe the stacked books were potentially flimsy and the cake would be at risk?thanks, Kayla!) The Dunloe would find an alternative solution that worked just as well or better. Do yourselves a favour and listen to their input because, at the end of the day, they have so much more experience with weddings than you probably do and, thus, a model for determining guest behaviors.

Jason was waiting for us with champagne when we arrived at the venue and a vehicle delivered us to the castle ruins where we could take some photos before joining our guests in the reception room. We were lucky to have a beautiful day, and the Dunloe grounds made for some lovely photos of our wedding party and family.

The reception room is my favourite ? recently remodeled. It's gorgeous. The furniture, the d?cor, the bar, the balcony and views ? a perfect setting to share in tears and laughter with your most cherished people just after tying the knot. In greeting guests, I forgot to grab any canapes before they were done being served so a staff member ran down to the kitchen to make me a special plate. My husband and I began practicing our speeches separately once the guests headed into the dining room and before we were summoned. The same staff member offered me a pen, but I told him I wouldn't need it. Thirty seconds later, I realized I had some changes to make. As I approached the bar, he had one hand wiping the counter and the other holding the pen out to me. These little touches are what made the day so special for us. They predicted everything!

The food was wonderful (seafood salad is amazing as a starter!) and the service was impeccable ? fast and responsive. No guest went hungry between the ceremony and dinner, and definitely not between the reception and dinner. The food was abundant and servers even offered our guests extra portions. Plus, they?d even offered some flexibility with menu options. Overall, they coordinated everything perfectly for us, including the song we would enter to, the timing of it, our path to our table ? things we never would have thought of.

They informed us when we hit certain amounts related to drinks, as promised?and always very discreetly. Although we?d coordinated our own ceremony and designed that venue ourselves, we couldn't have imagined coordinating the rest of the celebration. The amount of work that must have went into it and the precision with which it was delivered will continue to impress us and make us smile when we think about our day.

We highly recommend The Dunloe for your wedding day.

Wedding of our dreams

One year ago We got married at the Dunloe Hotel. We were not from Kerry and our wedding was a little different from the average. We rented the beautiful Beaufort House for the week. But we had planned to do a marquee in garden. The Dunloe hotel had just been refurbished and was only around the corner from where we were staying. As the marquee was not a runner in the end. We last minute literally contacted the Dunloe. The staff at the Dunloe were just amazing. My wife dreams came through. It's very hard to have a 5 star wedding venue that can make you feel relaxed and be as friendly as they were. The Dunloe is something very special. We got first class service. The kids were fed first and then taken off for a camp so the adults got time to themselves (this was priceless as we had 30 children). There was nothing the Dunloe couldn t do. And off course I forgot to say. The Dunloe is in a stunning setting, beautiful hotel with the most friendliest staff I have ever met. I am sorry to Jason and all the staff at the Dunloe I have not wrote this message till one year on. But Charlotte and I thank you will all our hearts for being there for us and helping us relax so we could have a wedding that I believe only Royal s would dream of

My husband and I had the pleasure of getting married in The Dunloe in early July. I just have to write a review of what an outstanding venue and experience it was for us. We live in the ME and as you can imagine it was not easy to plan a wedding for 180 people from here, however Jason and all the staff just made it a seamless process for us. For anyone thinking of holding their wedding there please go ahead, you are in great great hands! Food, drinks, ambiance, accommodation, scenery, it was all outstanding!

WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND Fabulous Location, setting perfect for a wedding. Hotel management and staff could not have done more to accommodate family and guests. Facilities, rooms, restaurant, food etc all surpassed expectations. A big thank you to all staff.

When we first went about looking at hotels for our wedding we weren't sure what we were looking for. We didn't even know exactly what county we would have it. So our list of hotels visited was quite comprehensive. We visited the Dunloe when it was actually under construction during renovations. We were met by trucks, labourers etc. but we were still sold on the place. That all started with the grounds and the surrounding views which to say they are spectacular doesn't quite do it service. We next met Jason ? who couldn't have been nicer to us. He showed us around including where the drinks reception could be (2 choices depending on weather both better than we?d seen anywhere else), the hotel rooms including the bridal suite, where our guests would stay and finally the room where our reception would be. This room is perfectly sized and laid out. It has great natural light coming into it and also has great views from all angles of the surrounding scenery. We were sold.
The leading up to the day itself is always going to be hectic but in Jason we couldn't have asked for more. He has vast experience of what works and doesn't and helped us through every step. Recommendations for florists, music, surprises, church or anything else we could possibly think of. Menu tasting also couldn't have went smoother.
On the day itself everything was just perfect. The venue, the food, the service, the grounds, everything. Couldn't have asked for more. Small touches that you never think about or ask for ? the Dunloe delivered. Little things like the canopies and champagne been sent down to us while we were down doing our photos on the opposite end of the grounds to where the drinks reception was. Having a car sent down to pick us up from the photos so we could get back to our guest asap. The Dunloe delivered on everything they said they would and then did a lot more. All our guests are still talking about how amazing it all was and how nice the food was on the day. They really bent over backwards to make our day so special and were so attentive to our every need. The bridal suite was so beautiful and spacious. It needed to be on the morning as there was hairdressers, makeup people, photographers, videographer as well as bridesmaids and family. And yet there is a certain calmness you get while looking out at horses running on the grounds with a backdrop of the gap of Dunloe. All the rooms our guests stayed also had beautiful views. We ourselves will be back at this hotel as it is so special to us now but we were surprised to hear that several of our guests within a week after had booked a weekend later in the year for their families. In closing this is a 5 star hotel but at no point is there a snobby feel about the place. The entire staff couldn't have been friendlier or nicer. Staff choice is obviously very important to the hotel and it shows. This hotel is part of our lives for the rest of our days and starting your marriage here is getting everything off to the best possible start

We cannot recommend The Dunloe highly enough - we had the wedding day of our dreams here thanks to the amazing staff and management at the hotel. Nothing was too much hassle, everything just ran so so smoothly in both the lead up to and on the day itself. We spent some fabulous time at The Dunloe prior to our wedding, for our menu tasting and to stay the night and we were always made feel so welcome. The day itself was impeccable and the service was outstanding. The meal was divine - guests are still talking about the quality of the food!! The accommodation and the surroundings of the hotel are wonderful, it has a lovely calm atmosphere and we can't wait to revisit as soon as possible!!

My husband and I got married here on the 30th august 2013 , from start to finish our day was flawless . We had our civil ceremony here in the maple room , with views that would take your breath away . Elisabeth looked after our day in every way possible , she went above and beyond for us . I would highly recommend anyone planning a wedding to consider the Dunloe highly . The setting , the staff , the location are none I have ever experienced before . We look forward to returning for our anniversary next year

We celebrated our wedding in the beautiful Dunloe Castle Hotel in July 2013. We had an amazing, memorable day that was made possible by the outstanding service provided by the team in the Dunloe. There are many aspects of this hotel that impressed us and our guests. Firstly, it is set in beautiful grounds against the spectacular background of the Dunloe gap. As a result we took all of our photographs on the hotel grounds leaving us more time to spend with our guests. As the weather was beautiful we had our drinks reception outdoors under the gazebo and the large outdoor terrace adjoining the function room was used a lot during the evening. The food was excellent, from the canapés to the fillet of beef; which was singled out for much praise by many guests. There were a number of the wedding party who had young children at the wedding and they were very impressed with the amenities provided by the hotel; indoor heated swimming pool, large playground, kids club and provision of babysitters. Perhaps the biggest aspect of the hotel that impressed us so much were the staff. Jason Clifford and his team provided us with a superb service, managing to provide excellent attention to detail while maintaining a lovely relaxed feel to the occasion. It is obvious that this hotel prides itself on providing an outstanding, personal wedding service. We would like to thank the hotel and staff for making our wedding day so special and would highly recommend the Dunloe as a wedding venue to other couples.

We had our wedding at Hotel Dunloe Castle in June 2011 and it was wonderful from start to finish. Dunloe has the advantage of being a very plush and luxurious hotel, but with no sense of the stiffness that you get in many 5 star hotels. This is due to the fantastically warm and friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel thoroughly at home. They are very experienced at weddings and provided a smooth and polished service. The planning phase was effortless for us, as it was clear from very early on that we were in good hands. We had a fabulous experience on the day itself, everything ran perfectly and there was a great sense of calm and relaxation. The function room was laid out beautifully, and having the dancefloor in the middle worked really well. Once the dancing had ended, we had a big sing song that went on until the early hours and there was no pressure on us to leave the function room. Our guests raved about the food, which was exquisite, as well as the breath-taking scenery to be viewed from every angle of the hotel. Those who stayed overnight were also delighted with the absolute luxury of their rooms. I can't wait to go back for more pampering for our anniversary! Thanks to everyone at Dunloe for making our wedding so special.
