From the moment we walked through the doors and met the hotel staff we knew we were in safe hands, everything exceeded our expectations. Our coordinator Lucia was absolutely amazing, Lucia was supportive of any requests, she was so kind to us (I will always remember her making sure we were both okay throughout the day), was organised, and Lucia was always there to make us feel at ease, this made the whole experience feel so stress-free. The ballroom was decorated spectacularly, the centre pieces were provided and anything extra on the table we did ourselves. The food was delicious and everyone is still talking about it. Cocktails also went down a treat. Every little detail we want was handled and it was clear how much effort Lucia and her team put in and made our day unforgettable. We didn’t have to worry about anything. We are truly grateful to the whole team for giving us a wedding day and memories we will cherish forever.

We had our whole wedding day at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel .. civil ceremony, meal and the afters, and honestly it couldn’t have gone better.

The food was out of this world. The chef absolutely nailed it and our guests are still talking about it weeks later, especially the cookies (which we’re raging we missed while we were off getting photos!).

The bar staff were brilliant all night so friendly and good craic, they really kept the atmosphere going and made everyone feel welcome.

We stayed in the bridal suite and it was unreal. Such a gorgeous room, we only wish we had more time in it because the whole day just flies by.

A big thank you to Clare and the team for everything in the lead-up and on the day itself — everything ran smoothly and we felt well looked after throughout.

I recently attended a wedding at Woodford Dolmen Hotel, and I felt compelled to share how outstanding the experience was.

A special mention must go to Claire, the wedding planner, whose attention to detail, organisation, and calm professionalism were exceptional. From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that every element had been carefully thought through. Nothing felt rushed or overlooked, and the entire day flowed seamlessly thanks to her expertise.

The wider staff team were equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring the couple and their guests felt comfortable and well looked after. The coordination between the planner and staff was evident throughout the day, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone attending.

It was clear that pride is taken in delivering a high standard of service, and it truly enhanced what was already a very special occasion. I would highly recommend the Woodford Dolmen Hotel as a wedding venue and would not hesitate to return for future events or stays.

The service we received from the staff here at the Woodford dolmen was just absolutely amazing. From the day we viewed the venue to the day of our wedding it was just fabulous. Clare is just absolutely brilliant, she goes above and beyond to make your wedding day so special and thats excatly what she did for us . We traveled from Wales, I was so nervous just turning up the night before but all the staff were so amazing with the communication and keeping me up to date and answering all my questions whilst being back in wales. Our wedding day was perfect! I couldn’t have asked for anything more. All my family from wales said it was the best wedding they have ever been too! We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary. Well where do I start with the woodford dolmen carlow. I would honestly recommend them to any future wedding planning couples.
Clare and her staff are an absolute delight to deal with.
They were very attentive to every detail myself and my husband had wanted.
When we first started looking at hotels it was a hotel that came back at us. We had agreed to book our big day. Clare and her team were there for every step of the way , they helped us find good vendors ( our wedding car). The woodford dolmen is definitely worth the price you pay for. On our big day they were by our side in any way possible. Before we entered the room to all our guests they had taken care of our kids ( gave them their food first) to have them settled before we entered. They even had all our meals come out at the same time. No one was waiting for their meals. All the guests were very happy not one complaint was heard.
Would definitely be going back to the woodford dolmen.

We got married in the Woodford Dolmen and highly recommend them to everyone. From the moment we went to book to the day we got married we felt as if we were the most important couple to get married. From the very staff they helped with everything. We had to cancel due to covid and they were so good they helped us rearrange everything to suit our new date with our suppliers with no problems at all, they accommodated all our extras and help me with my themed wedding. Wow the meal tasting came around and we were expecting just to taste the meal at a standard table but to our surprise they had it set up like a wedding table with our own personal menu and afterwars the manager came set down and spoke to us to see if we wanted changes ,our car let us down days before the wedding and when we rang the hotel the manager sorted it out within the hour. The day itself went smoothly for us and alot of excitement and laughter from all the staff. We highly recommend the Woodford Hotel from a night stay to a weekend away to getting married. The hotel is so relaxed friendly and welcoming to everyone. There gardens are well maintained. We have been to many weddings in hotels and a few in the Woodford Dolmen and the Woodford stands out by a mile

Food, service, staff, attention to detail, flexibity and decor I would give 5 stars.
I was completely able to relax as I knew my day was in great hands with Clare and her team.
From the night before to getting ready that morning to our ceremony upstairs and wedding reception downstairs everything was flawless.

Woodford Dolmen is an absolute dream to deal with, they have extra decor for hire also so you dont have to go looking for stuff. The management and staff was brilliant, always on hand for anything we needed. The food was so delicious, decent portions with extras. The hotel itself is spacious and had lovely surroundings for photos. The main feature of the fabulous staircase is an absolute must for photos and the bridge also. If your thinking of the Woodford Dolmen for your wedding day stop thinking and book!!! Our guests are still talking about our wedding day months after.

What can I say !!
We decided to get married in early 2020, and booked our wedding for September 2022 during the first lockdown, Clare was our first contact on our adventure and boy did we have one of those!

Our hotel choice did not disappoint, we were so well looked after on the day itself that we knew we were in very safe hands by all the team at the Woodford.

Big shout out to Willie & Colin and the staff for everything, the food was amazing, our complements to the chef and his team and waiting staff too, the service was top class and everyone was delighted (and full).

Our guests enjoyed a lovely relaxed atmosphere during their stay and are still talking about it nearly 2 months later!!!

Would highly recommend the Woodford Dolmen Hotel for your wedding as the management and team couldn't do enough for us to make our day a special one for us and all our guests.

The Woodford Dolmen Hotel is the top wedding venue, from start to finish I couldn't fault anything. The attention to detail by Clare was second to none, I knew all the finer details were in good hands and the outdoor ceremony was everything I wanted it to be thanks to Clare and the team.
Heather was also amazing to deal with in regards rooms, booking of appointments with Clare. A huge thanks to everyone that made our day so amazing, we couldn't have asked for more.
