Brides on the Edge – Introducing Maria Senvo Wedding Dresses 2015

Fashion & Jewellery

Wedding bloggers and brides alike have found a new name to covet when it comes to cool, contemporary and unconventional style for the Big Day, and that name is Maria Senvo. Spearheaded by young design duo – and couple in day-to-day life – Holly Cuthbert and Ryan Wilkinson, the brand is undoubtedly one of the stand-out independent labels of 2014 after launching a collection of chic, uncomplicated bridal designs in February this year. The Fifteen Collection saw Maria Senvo smoothly sail into the sights of the industry’s elite with their fresh offering of light, minimal and sultry silhouettes which experimented playfully with fine fabrics and fluid shapes and touches of pared down glamour.

The On Edge collection continues this style of subtle glamour by adding several new styles to the brand’s offering. The collections combined are trend led yet timeless. The use of delicate beading and intricate appliqué is perfectly complemented by luxurious fabrics and simple silhouettes. Each gown offers a unique take on a trend – sexy low backs, luxe lace bodices and lavish long sleeves are the notable features that make these gowns unquestionably couture-like.

The concept of Maria Senvo is to allow chic and effortlessly stylish women to wear what they truly want to on their wedding day – not what they’ve been told complies with wedding wear. This means unique, relaxed, yet glamorous gowns that feel special yet are right at home in their wardrobe.

Wedding fashion is becoming a more flexible and fluid concept, as we’ve seen with the launch of gorgeous new collections from smaller labels such as Catherine Deane, Rembo Styling and Elizabeth Stuart and is being thoroughly embraced by more established international bridal houses such as Cymbeline and Pronovias. Bridal shops also are looking to cater for the more individual bride by seeking out up-and-coming designers and lesser known design houses and bringing them to the attention of customers.
