How do I keep the kids entertained at my wedding?
Sweets galore
Set up a ‘pick and mix’ experience with a candy buffet, just for the kids! They’ll LOVE choosing their favourite sweets to enjoy at the wedding or when they get home.
Video games
Create a gaming station for the older kids, with TVs, Playstations, Xboxes and some kid-friendly games (things like FIFA, SingStar and other age-appropriate games).
Activity pack
Put together individual activity packs for each of the kids, with age-appropriate activities. Include things like bubbles, colouring books and crayons, a wedding themed wordsearch and stickers.
Photo treasure hunt
Give the kids some disposable cameras and a list of photos you want them to take. They’ll love knowing that they are capturing special moments just for you!
Dance floor time
If your timeline allows, carve out some kids only dance floor time, with songs you know they’ll love!
Outdoor activities
For a summer wedding, how about a bouncy castle or giant lawn games for the kids (and kids at heart) to enjoy?
Hire an entertainer
A professional entertainer (like a kids magician, for example) will know exactly how to get the kids laughing and having the best time!
Hire a nanny
Hire a nanny or babysitter to make sure all the kids are well taken care of. The kids will love it and the parents will have peace of mind.

Should I have a kids table?
We suggest having younger children sit with their parents. This would be any children that are more dependant on their parents. Older children could sit at their own table, but we recommend having this table be close enough so the parents can still keep an eye on them. A great suggestion is to provide some entertainment for the kids (stickers, colouring books or bubbles).
How can I involve my kids in the ceremony?
Invite them to be a page boy or flower girl. They can walk down the aisle (either alone, with each other, or with an adult). And why not ask them to walk you down the aisle?
Older children might feel awkward being a bridesmaid, so take into account their comfort levels. Other tasks older children can do: hand out confetti, welcome guests as they arrive, or be in charge of taking photos with a disposable camera.
For younger children, get them to hold the bouquet or rings. This will help them feel included!
Mention the kids in the ceremony, in the vows or prayers.
During the ring exchange, present each child with a gift (their own rings, or a token or medallion) and consider sharing special promises to them.
Include the kids in your unity ceremony!
