I love singing really interesting song choices for ceremonies, and I’m lucky to have a live musician who also sings so we can do harmonies. We especially liked doing “I Knew I Loved You” by Savage Garden as it’s a gorgeous song and brought me straight back to my school days! Some other favourites I’ve done are “Yours” by Ella Henderson, and I always love doing “Songbird”. And finally, I love a good uptempo exit song, and “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” always ends the ceremony on a high!
Jenny Cullen Music
‘Always Remember Us This Way’ by Lady Gaga:
This is probably one of my favourite songs to sing. I love it when my couples choose it. Whether I’m asked to sing it for the actual ceremony, with my pre dinner music duo, or with my band ‘Entourage’ in the evening, it’s always a firm favourite with guests. Apart from being a very moving song, it requires a bit of technicality, which I love to get my teeth into.
Kerry Coventry Music
Some of my favourites are A Thousand Years, Grace, The Shire, Dreams and Auld Lang Syne.
The Victory Dolls
There is nothing quite like the experience of 3-part vocal harmony to fill the room for a wedding ceremony. The Victory Dolls still sings all your favourites, but having 3 voices blending together just adds that extra “something” that stands apart! One of our favourite ceremony songs is the timeless classic “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, taking the simple but beautiful melody and transforming it with harmony. It also means we can cover all the parts on some of the fun exit songs, like “Higher & Higher” by Jackie Wilson or “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell so you get the full experience that you can’t get with just one singer!
Denise O’Rourke Event Singer
Niamh Kirby Music
Favourite songs to sing- Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now, Better Half of Me & Young and Beautiful.
Sinead Walsh Harpist and Singer
Choosing my favorite songs to perform is not easy, as there are so many beautiful songs out there. However, some of the songs that I love to perform regularly at ceremonies are:
– **Nella Fantasia** by Ennio Morricone: This is a good entrance song that has a dreamy and elegant melody.
– **Dreams** by The Cranberries: This is a very popular exit song that has a catchy and upbeat rhythm.
– **Your Song** by Elton John: This is another popular exit song that has a simple and heartfelt message.
– **A Thousand Years** by Christina Perri: This is a great entrance song that has a romantic and timeless theme.
– **Can’t Help Falling in Love** by Elvis Presley: This is a classic love song that has a soothing and tender tone.
I also enjoy learning new songs for different occasions. For example, I learned a gorgeous song called **Conversations in the Dark** by John Legend for a beautiful wedding last year, and it became a firm favorite in my repertoire. Another fabulous song that I learned for a wedding last year was **Latch** by Sam Smith, which has a soulful and passionate vibe. I could go on and on, but these are some of the songs that I love to sing.
