Relaxed, luxurious and beautiful, Mount Juliet Estate is a gorgeous Georgian house set in a wonderfully picturesque 500-acre country estate.
This is where memorable weddings happen – weddings full of style, fun and magical moments – with a variety of exceptional spaces for celebrations of different sizes but all taken care of in the thoughtful Mount Juliet way.
Bring your own love story to a place rich with stories and laid-back luxury, and enjoy an experience where every guest is looked after and every tiny detail is minded as if you are one of the family.
Wedding and civil ceremony options include the pretty, light-filled Lady Helen Dining Room in the Manor House at Mount Juliet Estate, perfect for wedding parties of up to 96 guests. Overlooked by a charming portrait of the original Lady Helen McCalmont, a previous owner of The Estate (and by all accounts a superb hostess!), these high-ceilinged rooms with their sweeping river views and graceful plasterwork details make a suitably stylish backdrop to a sophisticated country house wedding.
The splendid, newly redesigned Stables in Hunter’s Yard is a classic and atmospheric new ballroom with a handsome terrace, a delightful setting for a larger wedding of up to 170 guests.
Just a few minutes' walk from the manor house, at Hunter’s Yard is a fresh take on Mount Juliet Estate rich heritage, and a natural extension of the estate’s genuine and memorable hospitality. There are intriguing nooks and corners too, both throughout the main house, in Hunter’s Yard and dotted through the substantial grounds – fabulous family portraits and historical images, ornate architectural details, fine specimen trees, hundreds of years old, carpets of anemones or bluebells, depending on the season, magical stone bridges or tumbling waterfalls – all of which provide a touch of sparkle to any wedding photos.
20 minutes from Kilkenny and just over an hour from Dublin, Mount Juliet Estate is a unique destination steeped in history with breath-taking views. Sitting majestically on the banks of the River Nore, the 250-year old manor house overlooks everything the estate has to offer, from Championship golf on the Jack Nicklaus signature designed course to private fishing on the river, world-class equestrian activities and meandering walks.
Polished, cosy, elegant, a wedding at Mount Juliet Estate is Irish country house living at its very best.
