We had our wedding in The Station House on 21st August 2026.
We could not have found a more perfect venue for our wedding.
From the moment we first visited the Station House, right through to the day of our wedding, the staff were absolutely incredible. Caroline and the wedding team were so helpful in the lead up to our wedding and made the planning process relaxed and enjoyable.
We visited the Station House a few times in the lead up to our wedding and were always met with kindness and warmth, normally by the amazing Suzanne.
Caroline met us on our wedding day on arrival and everything flowed smoothly throughout our day.
I want to thank Julia who facilitated our meal and first dance in the turntable. She was brilliant.
Our guests have all remarked about the venue and setting, the food and the service throughout the day. It was the first time most people had been to a wedding where the first dance was in a setting like the turntable, everyone loved it.
Everything about our day was just perfect. We could not recommend the Station House enough to anyone currently looking for the perfect venue to celebrate their special day.

The station house really took care of us. Every little detail was managed and there were so many little touches that really made it an incredible day. The staff was excellent, warm and responsive. All our wedding guests keep saying what an incredible party it was!

We got married in the Station House Hotel in July 2026 with 135 guests and couldn’t have picked a better venue. The staff were incredibly attentive and professional and our wedding coordinator Devon was excellent and catered to all of our needs.

The venue itself is spectacular, particularly the outdoor ceremony area which is covered by forestry and a nature trail with fairy lights which is great for pictures.

It is a small enough hotel which is exactly what we wanted as it has a cosy feel and can be booked out entirely by the wedding party. The food and drink was amazing and the hotel use lots of local produce.

Overall this is a perfect venue if you are looking for a cosy country side boutique hotel that is close to Dublin.

The Station House, as a venue and as a team, made the whole experience leading up to our wedding not only easy, straightforward, and make us confident that every single detail was covered, but that they would do everything possible to make the day itself as unforgettable and magical as it could be.

Not one step of the day was not already thought through in detail.
Our guests have gave praise after praise at how beautiful the venue was, how attentive the team was to them, and how flawless their experience was.

There are not enough words to express the gratitude to Devon and the team to give us such a wonderful day that we will talk about for years to come.

We honestly couldn’t recommend the Station House more to anyone considering here for their wedding, it was the first venue we looked at and we fell in love that we didn’t look any further.

The arranged touchpoints periodically in the lead up to our wedding was very valued, in that we felt we had constant support in the planning and visualisation of the day.

On the day, Devon being there for check ins gave comfort that it was all being looked after that we could just sit back and relax and enjoy the experience.

We got married in the station house hotel on Friday the 3rd of July 2026.
From the moment we planned on going to the wedding showcase straight after we got engaged to our wedding day it was everything we had ever dreamt of.
Our wedding coordinator Caroline Hegarty was a superstar. There was no question to big or small! She genuinely made the whole lead up to our wedding stress free.

When we arrived on our special day everything was set up beautifully and everything we provided for our guests was there for them.
From the food at reception and service at dinner was incredible.
Overall we all had an incredible day from start to finish and a huge part of this came down to the station house hotel for everything they did for us (went over and beyond).

The station house was the perfect venue for our wedding. The beautiful woodland setting, the intimacy of the grounds, the attentiveness of all the staff and the quality of the service were all amazing, they are just not found at every hotel venue. We really felt like the people working here cared about our day and shared in the excitement of it all, which considering they host many weddings throughout the year, is a very special find. There was nothing impersonal or clinical about the experience. Food is excellent, grounds are beautifully maintained, the decor has character, reminders of the venues railway history are dotted throughout, certainly a unique gem. Its boutiquey but relaxed, almost Mediterranean vibes in the sunshine, ideal for any wedding. I would recommend in particular for those wanting a more private and alternative choice to the standard hotel setting. We chose a Lord of the Rings theme, being huge fans, so not a typical wedding experience for all involved! I was really blown away at how much effort the staff made with the decor setup and how they got behind the ideas we had with such enthusiasm. They will not let you down if you want to get creative with your day. We also opted for a 'first fight' instead of first dance, being martial arts practitioners, which again the venue got behind and helped make happen without hesitation. Massive thanks again to Devon and the team, absolute legends.

This venue is so special, the team are incredible and the food was everything. There is nothing the team couldn’t do for us. Everything was perfection!

The Station House was a wonderful place to get married. It is a stunning venue, the staff are so kind and helpful, and the food is amazing. We were well looked after from the moment we arrived to view the venue. Our wedding day was rainy, which obviously wasn't the plan since we were determined to use the beautiful outdoor ceremony space, but our wonderful coordinator Jane managed to read the weather well, time things right, and keep all the seats dry and everyone furnished with lovely white umbrellas. The team averted what I had worried was certain disaster with practiced skill and had me reassured throughout every moment. This made all the difference to us because we wouldn't have gone with sticking with the outdoor ceremony without the confidence they instilled in us, and we are so so glad we did. Our guests were blown away by the food their hospitality and we are so so happy that we got our wedding photos taken on the stunning grounds. Thank you Station House!

We got married in May, it was the most amazing experience, any question I had was answered so quickly, we were made to feel so special all the way through! The wedding team is amazing and Devon helped us through all the way, special mention to Alessandro too who made the meal and the night time run so smoothly, everyone commented about how great the staff were and they noticed the smallest details. There is so much included in the price and the food is so good, better than most. We travelled from Wexford to have our wedding at the station house and I’m so glad we did, if you’re thinking of booking you won’t regret it, it was honestly the best day ever, everything went smoothly and we didn’t have to lift a finger on the day, the most amazing venue I wish we could do it all again!

We had the most amazing day in the station house. We couldnt be happier, there wer some minor issues the day after with our accommodation but they really compenstated us for it. They were so good.

The Station House is the perfect location for a small to medium sized wedding; intimate, unique, quirky, beautiful. The staff are lovely and helpful, the grounds are immaculate, the turntable used for outdoor ceremonies is beautiful, food is top tier, the rooms are comfortable and unique. Planning a destination wedding is never easy, but The Station House really helped make the process as smooth as possible. The venue is gorgeous, and includes so much of what you need for a fantastic wedding day — a four course meal, an incredibly decorated reception area, a terrace that’s perfect for cocktail hour, and a ceremony space that’s truly magical. It’s like nothing we had ever seen back in the US. Everyone working there helped things run so smoothly, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day in the Irish sunshine. We can’t wait to come back to celebrate future anniversaries.

The venue itself is beautiful and well kept. The staff are all excellent, very professional and friendly which made the whole day go perfectly. The food was also amazing, our guests all said the same thing and said they had a wonderful time.

Everything was beyond what we had imagined, from the service, the food, to the little touches and overall atmosphere - it was all absolutely flawless. I even had a little cry at reception when leaving as I was overjoyed with everything and managed to keep it together until then! We were just so blown away by how well we were looked after all day, and our guests also! Our guests have been raving about it all and have mentioned it was one of the best weddings they were at. :)

I dont even know how to put it into words how amazing they are in the station house, we had the most incredible day!!! Highly recommend the station house hotel for a wedding. Our guests were so impressed and had a great time. So many of them commented on what a unique venue it was, a hidden gem. The staff are AMAZING to deal with. So attentive and helpful. Everything went so smoothly. We used the vendor list they provided for most of our venues and had a great experience with all of them. We recently held our wedding here and the experience was fantastic .A special thank you to Caroline our wedding coordinator - she was absolutely amazing and made sure everyrthing ran smoothly for us on the day.
The hotel surroundings are beautiful and the ambience was exactly what we hoped for, The service was excellant, the food was delicious and the venue was spotless throughout..

The only downside was the complimentary taxi that was offered for our guests failed to show up which caused a bit of stress , we had to spend a bit of time organising taxis for our older guests.

Other than that, we really enjoyed our day so Thank you, and we would recommend the hotel as a wedding venue to anyone.

You can sense that it's a family run business from all the staff. They all care about making your day perfect and I get the sense they truly enjoy what they do. Myself and my parter got married the 30th of Dec 2025. We can not recommend the station house enough.. from an outdoor magical fairytale wedding ceremony to a cosy setting by christmas lights and fired inside . The food was also 100%.

We had our wedding on 20th December 2025 at station house hotel. We are feom Derry and Kilkenny and decided to search for a venue halfway between both. As soon as I saw Station House I knew it was what we wanted. I booked them without seeing the venue(my husband went to see for us both). The Christmas lighting, cosy fires and decor were beautiful. I had so many questions and emails and the wedding coordinators were so responsive and helpful.
I know people comment on the food, but we were both so impressed on the day(way better than the tasting night). We’re both foodies and that was the most important aspect for us. We dream about our dinner and would love to sit down and have it again if possible. Everyone commented on the food from the canapés to the late night food. And the breakfast! The best I’ve ever had. The Chefs are excellent.
We had a magical day at station house and would recommend it to anyone wanting a smaller venue without losing any of the class.
The only thing I wish they had, was extra accommodation for the bridal party for the night before a wedding( if there is a wedding the whole venue is booked out) but that is a small thing.

We can not praise the staff enough and especially Jane our wedding coordinator she is truly fabulous. Our ceremony was held outside in a magical setting even a little rain added to it with white umbrella's quickly given to our guests.

We had our ceremony outdoors at the Turntable, and it was nothing short of breathtaking. The combination of twinkling lights and flickering candles created the most romantic and serene atmosphere. It truly felt like something out of a dream.

The food was another highlight—amazing doesn’t even begin to cover it! All of our guests were raving about how hot, fresh, and generous the dishes were. A huge thank you to the chefs involved; you truly outdid yourselves.

What really made the day even more special was the incredible staff. I have never encountered a hotel with such genuinely happy, kind, and attentive people. They made everything feel so seamless, and we couldn’t have asked for better service.

I cannot thank Jane John and everyone in The Station House enough, it was our very own Midsummer's Nights Dream! There was not one thing we'd change about the day, Everything was absolutely perfect from the moment we arrived to leaving the next morning.

There was no request or question too big or small for Jane. She was so quick to respond to every email and any questions I had, making the whole planning process a dream.

All of our guests had a blast and raved about the food, every bite was delicious. They were all just so blown away by the venue. The Carriage Suite is such a lovely space and the set up for the band is perfect.

The outdoor areas are so magical and a first dance in the turning circle is a must.

It truly is such a special place, I'm already looking forward to coming back.

We fell in love with The Station House from the minute we viewed it. It was no different on our special day. We had our wedding at Station House in June with our beautiful ceremony held at the turntable. The whole service was amazing and everyone went out and beyond for us and our guests. The food was amazing, the waiters were so kind and attentive, the room we stayed at was so gorgeous with beautiful decor and vintage vibes that we adored. The aisle walk way is so beautifully decorated with twinkling lights and the terrace is so so gorgeous with the most stunning gardens surrounding the area. The atmosphere was so magical. Our wedding coordinator was so kind and had even helped me with my wedding dress on the day and understood our vision perfectly! We are so thankful and grateful!

We had the most picturesque and enchanting wedding in the beautiful Station House Hotel and all we and our guests had to say was it was the perfect day. We were blessed with a beautiful Summer's day but even if the weather didn't go as planned the hotel paints an enchanting woodland scene for any couple. Devon and the wedding team were so responsive and made sure we had every detail needed ahead of the big day, responding to our queries very quickly and preempting any questions we might have. They have a great relationship with all the vendors and made sure we wanted for nothing on the day. It was the most stress free and blissful wedding day anyone could dream of and we couldn't have wished for better.

We had a great experience from start to finish with The Station House. All the staff were so easy to deal with and we found the communication from when we booked to the wedding date was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, including making my dream of an outdoor ceremony a reality despite the rain! We looked at a few different wedding venues whilst hunting for the perfect place. As soon as we set foot in The Station House Hotel, we knew we'd found the one. The grounds are stunning and the reception room is absolutely gorgeous. Every part of the venue has charm, from the lovely rooms and suites to the fabulously unique turning circle.
We were so impressed with every aspect of our journey with The Station House Hotel. Caroline was our Wedding Co-Ordinator - she made booking and payments so easy, kept us informed about what needed to be done by when, was so helpful with advice on timings for the day and was always responsive when we needed to call/email to check something.
In the build up to the day itself, we were panicking about the weather given the changeable forecast conditions. Caroline was fantastic at keeping us calm + running through options with us, for both indoor + outdoor ceremonies.
On the day itself (when we were lucky enough to have our outdoor ceremony!) the venue and staff were incredible. It rained in the morning before the ceremony and the staff were so careful to ensure that everything was perfect for the ceremony kick-off. Seats were dried and cleaned, umbrellas were ready for all guests in case of further rain + the red carpet was rolled out for the bride after the guests had taken their seats to ensure no muddy footprints. Little details like these meant the world to us. Caroline was everywhere on the day, co-ordinating and organising and making sure everything ran smoothly, from the drinks reception, to toasts, to dinner and beyond.
The food was also absolutely incredible - easily the best we've ever had at a wedding. We had so many compliments from guests about the quality of food, across canapés + the evening meal. A huge thank you to the kitchen staff for their efforts here!
The bars were also brilliantly run, with friendly and attentive staff right up until 3am closing. Thank you for this!
All in all, we'd highly recommend The Station House Hotel to anyone. We had the best day of our lives and a huge part of that is this wonderful venue and its wonderful staff. It was a dream location to get married in. Thank you again!

The only way I can describe this venue is that I feel like I enter a new world everytime I enter the lane way on my drive in.

The staff are exceptional. It is rare these days not to come across one or 2 bad eggs in a hotel but this is the place you will find that, not only are the staff so kind to the guests but they're kind to each other, they want to be there, either that or they all deserve Oscars!

Our co-ordinator was Devon and she was amazing from start to finish, I was never waiting longer than maybe an hour for a response to emails, she was so on the ball throughout the entire process and didn't drop it once! But honestly all the co-ordinators are fab, even if Devon was off or busy with another wedding the others were quick to get back to me so thank you for that.

The food is out of this world in this hotel, it is mainly what all the guests were talking about. Not only the main meal but the canapés and late night food too, incredible!

Finally, the ceremony option to have it outside at the old turn table is the way to go, but even if it is raining on your big day do not worry the indoor option is also beautiful.

Honestly nothing was too much trouble for this venue and when you're planning such a huge day for yourself and your partner that's all you need, like I said look no further you have found your venue and congrats! ✨️

We had our wedding at the Station House in November 2024. It was an autumnal themed wedding and to say the staff and the venue exceeded our expectations and our vision. Since I was younger I knew the Station House was where I wanted to marry and I couldn’t believe it was real on the day. The station house stay was so understanding about our requests and kept in constant communication throughout the whole year. The grounds were so incredibly beautiful even that late into autumn it was still stunning, myself and my husband were so happy all day. The food was incredible and the drinks were great! Our guests loved how incredible everything was including the grounds and food, everyone was very happy and full for the whole day which was great! I did want to mention Caroline who was our wedding co-ordinator to tell you she was an absolute credit to the venue would be an understatement, she has been such a support for us and without her we would not have had the wedding of our dreams. Just a small note for future brides/Grooms if you do not fill out the rooms you do have to pay for them which put a bit of pressure on us but worked out in the end. However I would still do my wedding all over again and would highly recommend.

The Station House Hotel was the first venue we viewed when we got engaged, and we both knew instantly it was where we wanted to get married. From the second we set foot on site, the venue blew us away. The gorgeous setting of the Turntable, to the rustic feel of the Carriage Suite, we fell in love! Our experience of planning our wedding in the Station House was nothing short of amazing. Devon was always so organised in scheduling meetings and reminding us when anything was due, to being on the other end of the phone if we ever needed anything, it made the planning so stress free for us, we felt in very safe hands through the whole planning process. As for the day itself, we would not change one thing. Everything was amazing. We were lucky enough that the weather was on our side and we had our outdoor ceremony in November, it was just perfect in every way. The venue was perfectly set, the staff were so attentive, and the food and drink was exceptional. A lot of our guests had not been to the venue before, and in the weeks after the wedding, it is all they could talk about! There was not one bad comment about anything to do with the venue.

We had a great experience getting help in agreeing to the schedule on the day, Food tastings, and support on the day in setting up our decorations. We felt confident that the day would go well and it did. The good weather helped to allow our ideal wedding outdoors under the trees. Gluten free option was not great and one room had a cold shower. We had the most wonderful wedding day at the Station House. Kyleigh with the wedding team and all the staff were very attentive and helpful. We had booked the Station House for our wedding two years in advance and every step of the way the wedding team was great in communicating with us and ensured we had everything we needed to prepare for the big day.


The venue was fabulous and so beautiful that we didn’t need to add any additional decorations. It’s a unique historical venue that used to be a railroad station, which created an amazing setup. The ceremony was on the site that used to be the turn-table for the engines, surrounded by beautiful trees and walking paths. That evening, the trees were all lit which made the whole place look surreal.


The bridal party really enjoyed getting ready in a lovely cosy atmosphere while being served afternoon tea and scones. The guests enjoyed the outdoor setting with delicious canapés and drinks. The wedding team ensured we had a great entrance into the beautifully decorated reception hall, it’s breathtaking from the moment you walk in. The reception hall used to be the engine house, so it had beautiful stone walls and architecture and was decorated tastefully and elegantly. We even got to spend the night in the signal house suite which was very charming.


The four-course meal was excellent and the service was great. The bar staff were also very attentive and friendly, serving through the full night. The courtesy car service was much appreciated, without it, it would be difficult for guests to get taxis to Trim if they wanted to stay until the end of the evening. The wedding team and hotel staff helped make everything run smoothly so we had a perfect wedding.

We fell in love with The Station House Hotel because of its location/setting, we wanted an outdoor ceremony and the turntable was the most beautiful one we had seen. The Carriage Suite is also a stunning setting for the reception. The Stationhouse Hotel was my dream venue the moment I saw it: fairylights in the trees, roses and old stone walls. It was beautiful. The staff were amazing, Caroline was so organised, supportive and helpful, I was able to relax and be present for every moment of the day. Myself and my husband could not recommend The Station House enough. Everything was amazing from our first point of contact and all the way through. We were assigned with Aoife, our wedding co-ordinator who was just amazing at her job. Aoife was always quick to reply on emails with any queries I had and made sure we were satisfied with everything. The reception staff were always a delight when I had to contact the hotel or visiting. The waiting staff and bar staff were all very friendly and professional. Everything went so smoothly on our wedding day, I was worried about not having control over little certain things, but trust me when I say the staff at The Station House have everything under control. The day went on and everything was done to perfection. The food was fantastic, the guests agreed and the venue is absolutely stunning. The sun came out for our special day after weeks of rain, but I wouldn't have minded having to take the ceremony indoors as it's still stunning. The accommodation is gorgeous and the lovely themes run throughout the hotel and really suits the vibe. Overall we had the most amazing day and it's 100% down to the stunning venue, the incredible staff and the hard work they all collectively put in to make your day special.

The hotel vibe and ambience is fabulous, the food was amazing and the staff were very accommodating. The Station House stood out for us as the most special of all the venues we visited - they offered a really personal service, and were the most inclusive of all the venues for LGBT couples. The food was top quality - something our guests all commented on, and often missed by wedding venues when hosting large groups. They couldn't have been more helpful in the lead-up and on the day. The venue is cosy, with everything in a small radius, which was great for elderly family. It's also beautiful - making for gorgeous memories and photos. Couldn't say more for them. Thanks to the staff again!

The venue grounds and buildings are stunning and exactly what we were looking for in a place to get married.

They were also extremely accommodating with crafting a menu with us as we're both vegetarian and wanted to have a (mostly) vegetarian day.

I will start this review by mentioning that we only got engaged at the end of Feb 23 and started viewing venues in March, so from the get go we had a huge ask - we absolutely wanted to get married this year! From the minute we set foot into the Station House we fell in love with the outside ceremony area and all of the lights twinkling as we walked up to meet the lovely Suzanne who showed us around. Part of me was worried that she?d laugh us out of the place at the end of the tour when we told her that we wanted to get married this year, but instead Suzanne assured us that they could not only make it happen but that they even had a Saturday available. We knew straight away that the Station House was ?the one?. The relaxed atmosphere, the quirky decor and the feeling of magic when we walked around was exactly what we wanted to feel on our wedding day. Once we?d booked in the date, we were matched up with our wedding co-ordinator Aoife Scanlon who had quite the task on her hands meeting a couple who?d given her 5 months to do what most people do in 2 years! From the second we met Aoife she completely put us at ease and made us feel so relaxed and reassured that there was absolutely nothing that couldn't be done in that time. In the run up to getting married the comment I kept getting from friends, family and colleagues was that I was the most relaxed bride they've ever seen and I am 100% sure that I felt that was thanks to Aoife. She made absolutely everything in terms of planning feel easy and even when we threw an absolute spanner in the works in the 11th hour days before the wedding by asking ?is there any chance? we could screen the Ireland vs New Zealand rugby match for 160 guests in the ballroom directly after dinner, again Aoife said ?leave it with me? as if we?d asked her to pass the sugar! The match was screened to the absolute delight of some very concerned guests who were devastated at the thought of missing out on the match. Even though we lost it kept the night running smoothly as my big fear was losing guests to phones under the table or wandering off to find a screen and never getting them back but this way it added a massive atmosphere to the room between the dinner and first dance.
I could not talk about the wedding without talking about the food. We had been told from the get go that the station house is a foodies dream venue and were so excited about that, but to say that it exceeded expectations doesn't even cover it. We enjoyed the wedding food tasting so much we were raving about it for weeks, and the actual wedding meal was executed to perfection despite our large numbers. All of our guests are still raving days later about the quality of the food, and we've heard from multiple people that it was the best wedding food they've ever had which is just such gorgeous feedback to get.
Myself and my new husband debriefed the day after the wedding and were in full agreement that there is not one single thing about our day that could have been done any differently or better. The day was even more perfect than we could have imagined.
The outdoor ceremony, the woodland first dance, the photos with the autumn leaves and the sun shining in the background all made the day feel like something out of a movie with the stunning backdrop provided by the Station House. The staff here are nothing short of spectacular at what they do.
If anyone is considering a wedding in the Station House, I literally cannot say enough complimentary things about the staff and venue.
When we first met our wedding co-ordinator Aoife we told her that all we wanted was to have a fun and relaxed day that we would enjoy as well as our guests, and what we got was a day that was not only fun and relaxed, but felt completely magical too.
I already can't wait to come back to the Station House for our anniversary and re-live some of the magic.

My wife and I held our wedding at the Station House Hotel in October 2023. The staff, service and food was exceptional. Special thanks to Caroline, Pearse, Suzanne, Jack and the Slattery family for taking care of us and certain special guests so well, we all had the time of our lives.

As a wedding venue, we couldn't be more complimentary: location; ambiance and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. We received so many compliments from our guests about the food and presentation.

Caroline was particularly helpful in terms of ensuring all our specifics were taken care of on the night. All our interactions were thoroughly positive. We were not suprised that she is in the runner for wedding coordinator of the year, the accolade is thoroughly deserved.
Pearse checked in on certain special guests throughout the evening in a caring manner which did not go unnoticed.

One aspect that doesn't get mentioned but should be considered for any prospective wedding couple, the Station House take care of much of the softer details that can add cost (Eg table decorations/seating plan). Although we added our own personal touches for the night, these complimentary additions alleviate extra tasks and costs which were welcome in the lead up to our wedding.

We are looking forward to celebrating future events and occasions at the Station House. Its a special place.

We just had the most amazing wedding day with Station House and couldn't have wished for anything more. Aoife was amazing and held our hand from the start. Not only were we blessed with the weather but we were also blessed with Aoife. The venue is something out of a fairytale and all our family and friends could not believe how special it was. From the turntable to the signal suite everything was so special. The food was amazing from the afternoon tea right up to breakfast the next day. Station House is the most perfect wedding venue made even more special by its staff. I am so glad we chose to get married at Station House.

From start to finish nothing was too much trouble. Every person at the station house hotel were so smiley and happy to help. We had Aoife as our wedding coordinator who put us at ease from the minute we met her, keeping us calm in the lead up and especially the morning of. The venue was a fairytale setting, the food was excellent with no complaints and the rooms are stunning and so clean. We had the most perfect day!

Myself and my partner Glenn cannot begin to praise The Station House enough for everything Aoife, Pearse and the team did for us on our wedding day. From the moment we set foot on the enchanting grounds of the station house hotel we knew we had found the perfect place to celebrate our special day. Unfortunately on the morning of our wedding storm betty knocked the power out in the hotel but hotel owners Thelma & Chris sprung into action and kindly brought the wedding party and family to their home to have their hair and makeup done, while there they were even treated to scones and bubbles, such a kind gesture and one that turned what could have been a stressful situation into a great experience!


The storm cleared and our guests arrived to the most magnificent outdoor ceremony set up. Lots of guest commented on how they were captivated by the venue and the whole experience.

All we can say is, believe each and every 5-star review that wedding couples have left. The most magical venue with the most attentive, professional staff. The food, the service, the care - all phenomenal. A special mention for the care given to the children we had at our wedding (2 toddlers and a baby). The Station House was an amazing venue for our wedding with our ceremony taking place in the turntable in the forest. The staff were amazing and on top of everything leading up to and on the day of the wedding. We had the most amazing day & I still get people telling me how much they loved the venue.

We had a wonderful wedding day in the Station House. The team, the food and the setting all made the Station house a perfect venue for us. Our guests were very complimentary. We were thrilled with our photos which we took onsite meaning we didn't miss the drinks reception. Everything was seamless and we are so pleased we chose the Station House as our venue.

The station house is an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue. When we were looking for venues my wife fell in love with the fairy tale aesthetic of the station house, from the reception area full of phenomenal decor to the magical turntable, every single part of the station house is designed beautifully.

The staff at the station house go above and beyond to make your wedding day feel truly special. The wedding team are so genuine and helpful, they are fantastic at answering any and all silly questions you have as well as communicating thoroughly on every step of the process. Special mention to Caroline McCoy, our wedding coordinator, she was genuinely outstanding! Leading up to the day she was answering every one of my 7 million emails and on the day she was irreplaceable. She helped set up in the reception area, she helped put on the groomsman's boutonnieres, she directed vendors to the proper locations(and early guests out of the wrong locations), my wife and I both know that we wouldn't have had our perfect day without her help.

The station house is perfect if you're looking for a fairytale wedding venue full of thoughtful and caring staff.

Having our wedding at The Station House Hotel was the best decision we made.

We wanted a very specific type of venue, and the hotel ticked all of our boxes.

The food was absolutely amazing, all of our guests had such high compliments of the dinner. We were able to add on to our menu, add vegan options for some of our guests and the chef really tailored to everyone.

The reception itself is absolutely beautiful. They gave us multiple options of how we wanted our table layouts to be. We were also able to use their decorations and bring in a 3rd party if we wanted specific flowers or centrepieces but the ceiling is it's own showstopper! They give you a full list of every supplier that has ever worked with them. It was so handy having everything right in front of us!

We had the ceremony outside in the turntable, and I absolutely loved how we could style it the way we wanted it. It really brought our story to life and it was everything we envisioned.

It's definitely worth it, the value for what we got was fantastic. We had choice of cocktails, ice cream for the kids in a vintage ice cream cart, and the appetisers that we chose were delicious! There was so much more we got to choose from and we have our own personalised champagne glasses to use every year on our anniversary. We were Truly relaxed knowing everything was there for everyone

The staff could not do more for you, everything was timed perfectly, they were on top of it all and any questions or requests you had.. There was no hesitation.

Caroline, our wedding planner was brilliant! From the beginning it was so professional and she had everything done and dusted behind the scenes in the most efficient way. We didn't have to worry about a thing!

The station house is a beautiful venue particularly on a sunnier day we were very lucky to be able to get married outside. From check in to check out the staff were so lovely to everyone, the setting is gorgeous, the food is excellent and they do a very good pint of Guinness! All of our family were very complimentary of the setting and the staff. Couldn't recommended more.

We had our wedding in The Station House last month and it was the most incredible day! We cannot thank Ross who was our wedding coordinator enough and all the other amazing staff at this hotel! The Station house is like a 5 star, wedding exclusive experience without the insane prices! We cannot recommend them enough. All the staff from reception, food, bar etc went above and beyond for us and made sure all our guests had the best time! The function room is incredible, even the bedrooms that all our guests stayed in were all designed so beautifully. You will not find a venue that even compares to it! They even had a complimentary bus for other guests to get home or to varies other hotels and B&Bs around. The Station House blew all our expectations, it was truly magical!

We had an amazing day from start to finish! All our guests commented on the amazing venue inside and out and how friendly and helpful all the staff were. But a special thanks to Ross, Suzanne and Pearse. From when we looked at the venue to the big day nothing was ever a problem. We look forward to many more fabulous meals in the Station House.

We got married on the 29th of October 2022 and we had the best day in The Station House. We are usually the ones that perform music for peoples weddings so it was fantastic to be on the other side of it! We have played in most venues in the country but The Station House always stuck out to us. We love the history of the venue and also how well it's been kept. The fact that we could have the entire venue to ourselves sold it to us too. The staff were absolutely amazing and if we had any issues along the way they were so quick to sort it out for us. Ross, Karen and Pierce in particular were the best. The venue is absolutely stunning and the bedrooms were so comfortable. The shuttle bus dropped our guests back to their accommodation as promised too. The food is outstanding, and the service on our wedding day was brilliant. All of our guests commented on how kind the staff were. The owners even made a point to wish us a congratulations on the day which was a lovely touch. The app Moposa helped us plan the wedding so much too! I?d highly recommend that. You can plan your guest list and seating chart on it so it really helps you to visualise how the room will look on the day. I can't fault anything at all. Wish we could do it all again! Slightly delayed in posting our review as the months post wedding have been so busy and we have been in such a bubble since!
Where do I begin with The Station House Hotel.
From start to finish the staff at The Station House Hotel were absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we stepped in to the hotel for our first viewing we fell in love. The cosiness of the bar area, the magnificent grounds, the wow factor carriage suite and the most delicious food, we knew instantly that we wanted to get married at The Station House Hotel. Each and every one of the staff went above and beyond from the planning stages right through to the day of the wedding. I have never experienced a more welcoming, kind and caring group of people. Our wedding was absolutely magical and so special because of everyone at The Station House Hotel. No ask was too big and we were made feel at ease the whole time, I cannot thank Ross enough for all he done for us and all the wedding planning team, they are true professionals! Our guests continue to comment on how amazing the grounds and decor set up was and how delicious the food was along with how nice and kind the staff were. The value for money and all that is included in your wedding package is amazing! Honestly, there is not one thing I can fault with The Station House Hotel!

Cannot say enough nice things about our entire experience - we knew instantly that we wanted to have our wedding at this gorgeous venue - very accommodating when it came to date changes due to covid and lockdowns.
Ross and the wedding team are an absolute treat to deal with, they really are experts at what they do - absolutely everything was thought of and catered for by the wedding team.
The venue it's self is absolutely stunning and very stylish, all of our wedding guests commented on the picturesque setting, from the turnstile area in the forest where we had our ceremony to the bar and terrace where we had our canapés to the carriage suite where we had our meal and later on, party.
The food is absolutely second to none, there is so much provided throughout the wedding day - the 10 course tasting menu evening some months before the wedding was also a nice touch as we were treated to absolutely everything on the wedding menu - each and every one of our guests have commented on how amazing and delicious the food was and the amount of food provided, the tayto sambos toward the end of the night was a real surprise for our guests and went down a treat!
The organisation and flow of our wedding day was managed very well, everything moved along nicely, the manager communicated every aspect of the day to us and ensured we were well looked after - the entire staff worked very hard to ensure service was seamless, each and every one of them were extremely accomodating and approachable.
We opted to have a bbq for day two, we had plenty of time to chill out with friends and family before the bbq started and again were well looked after throughout the day, the food for the bbq was absolutely delicious and we were also provided with more food in the evening time.
The wedding team organised music for the second day - Ray Cox, the musician was brilliant, he played for more than 3 hours without taking a break and kept everyone entertained!

We cannot thank the whole team at the Station House enough for welcoming us, our families and our guests and giving us "the celebrity" treatment. Our wedding day could not have been any more perfect.

The Station House exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we viewed the venue, to planning from abroad via zoom, right up to the day itself the Station House went above and beyond to accommodate us. The venue itself is extremely homely - nothing stuffy about it, the staff are extremely professional and approachable, the grounds are like a fairytale and lend themselves to amazing photographs, and weeks later family and friends are still raving about the amazing food. We couldn't have picked a better Wedding venue - would recommend the Station House to everyone without a minute's hesitation.

We felt very lucky to be able to secure a cancellation date in the Station House Hotel for our wedding. It really was the most beautiful and special venue, made even more special by the incredibly helpful and friendly staff. We did not use the turntable for our ceremony as we married in our local church at home so on arrival we were warmly greeted by Pearse and our personalised crystal champagne flutes- a lovely touch we weren't expecting. Its so lovely to have these now as a keepsake.
The drinks reception was like something from a dream which was made even better by the appearance of sunshine on arrival!
Our time together in the Library before being called into Carriage suite was so lovely but the call to dinner and getting everyone in took longer than expected so things became a little delayed from that point which unfortunately had a knock on effect to our band playing time later! A very minor detail which nobody else noticed!! I can understand how difficult it must be trying to organise this many people! If the speeches could have happened during dessert it might have given us back a little bit of that time lost.
The dinner was top class- we've had so many guests compliment the food to us since.
Our first dance in the turntable was so special and something we'll never forget.
We would highly recommend the Station House Hotel to anyone getting married . On the day, Pearse and Karen were so kind and supportive- nothing was too much of an ask. In the planning and lead up Shiyra and Ross were so good at replying to emails and getting all the details right for us.
We've had so many guests compliment the venue and how special it all felt saying it was the best wedding they've been to!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception in the station house hotel at the end of July, I could not be happier with selecting this venue for our wedding. The recent renovations have elevated this hotel, the rooms are beautifully decorated and the venue itself is beautiful, we got married in the turntable which is surrounded my a mini forest and it's unbeatable. It was magic. We got a good day and could make use of the lovely platform terrace for canapés and drinks (they now have a beautiful terrace just renovated also out the back, another space to use)

Our wedding co-ordinator Shiyra was brilliant, listened to everything we wanted and really helped us achieve it. One big focus for us was the food and wine and the chef Gordon met with us personally to put together a menu we were happy with, on the day Gordon himself ran the kitchen and the food was superb, far superior to what you expect at a wedding, our guests raved about it. I had A LOT of decor for the wedding ceremony and the dinning suite, activities for the kids, sweets table etc. there was absolutely no issue with this and Karen was fantastic that morning putting it all out.

Once we were married we were greeted by the events manager Pearse who is outstanding at what he does, he ran the whole show then ensuring all our guests and ourselves were very well looked after. I got ready in the library that morning and for us the space was lovely, I just had my little girl, 2 bridesmaids and my mam. We were served breakfast and looked after for all of it as makeup and hair helped us get ready. I do agree from the previous review that a long mirror would be very handy but you do move upto the bridal suite from 12.30 or so where you have that. I didn't mind walking from the library to the bathroom (a few seconds walk), there was nobody in that hotel area except us.

There is a shuttle bus available for wedding guests once all 19 rooms are filled, we did fill them all but unfortunately the shuttle bus would not take people unless they were staying in a hotel or b&b, we are local so we gave the rooms to those travelling long distances and we asked close friends to stay with family if possible which worked out as all local hotels were booked out for months in advance (BH wkend)we actually told them to cancel taxis on the night and the shuttle bus wouldn't bring them then which was frustrating and my husbands dad had to drive a few people home, just a note -something to make sure is available if you have told people. This however is only 1 point in an entire day of unbelievable service.

We were between here and Boyne valley and I am so so glad I went with my gut and picked here, it absolutely delivered and we had an amazing day. Thank you to the team at the station house.

I cant find enough words to explain how happy we were that we chose this place for our wedding. We kind of knew it was meant to be when they told us the 2 days they had available and one of them (the actual day of our wedding) was a day that was very special to us. Throughout the whole process, they communicated, sent reminders which was VERY helpful and was always there to answer any questions we had. Their menu tasting... bring elastic pants and book a room because it was AMAZING! On the day, the staff was unbelievable. Anything we needed, they were there. I cant name any standouts because they were all equally excellent. If you book here, you will not regret it. We will come to this place for many years to come to relive some of the amazing memories from our special day.

We've recently got married at The Station House Hotel and we had a micro wedding of 37 guests. The entire staff was so helpful, me and the husband and also our guests absolutely loved everything and they are still commenting about it. The food was excellent, the hotel grounds are so beautiful and funny enough, it was the first venue I had ever visited but I knew straight away I wanted to get married there. Again, I would love to thank every single one of the staff team for helping us make our special day even more special. We had absolutely no problem with anything and actually we were surprised with the champagne glasses they got for us after the ceremony.

We can't wait to spend our anniversaries in years to come because now The Station House Hotel is a huge part of our story together and we are deeply grateful for everything.

It is a pity for a lovely place to have a not great experience for my wedding, first of all, they changed my wedding planner 3 times and none of them were there the day of my wedding. I had technical issues during my ceremony and there was no staff to support me. I have to say the hotel staff is lovely, the food incredible, and the location is fantastic. I am very disappointed with the wedding team since I felt that they didn't give importance to it because my wedding was a small wedding, which is not professional at all.

We had our wedding in the Station House and it was the perfect experience all round from the planning stage to the day itself. The grounds, carriage suite, service, rooms and food was all beautiful and to such a high standard. Every detail, right down to the chocolates on the guests beds, showed thought and personality, and all of our guests commented on how our wedding showed our character, as Station House gave us a choice at every possible decision. Every query or request was answered and accommodated by the staff. We could not recommend a venue more, and thank them for making our day so perfect.

We had our wedding in the Station House in June 2022. We booked the venue following a zoom meeting during Covid before the hotel renovations were completed - the banquet room and entire hotel is finished to the highest standard and such a unique style. So many of our friends have commented on how beautiful the room was. It was our dream to get married outside which is always a risk in Ireland - the turntable is a beautiful setting and we are thrilled we got to say ?I do? there. The staff were so helpful throughout our planning process. I visited the hotel with my bridesmaids prior to our wedding and we were made to feel so welcome. Our wedding day was absolutely fantastic. Due to circumstances outside of everyone's control our ceremony time had to be pushed back by an hour which could have been very stressful but the staff handled the situation with complete professionalism and kept us at ease throughout. The food was sublime and food service was timely. I couldn't praise this venue highly enough - thanks for everything!

We couldn't recommend the Station House enough. The location is stunning and everything from the staff to the d?cor and food is amazing. We live in England and planned the wedding during lockdowns and the wedding team (Shiyra especially) were fantastic to deal with. Numerous compliments were received on the quality of the food and the venue from our guests.
We book the venue off the back of a zoom tour so to say everything exceeded our expectations would be an understatement.

Don't hesitate to book the Station House! The team and the venue are absolutely superb. We had our wedding there in May 2022 and it was the best day of our life. The team cannot do enough to help and the food and location is fantastic. It was a fairytale from start to finish. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We had so much fun, and staying in the honeymoon suite was also such a nice experience - your own little house just for the night!

We couldn't recommend the Station House highly enough for a wedding. We fell in love with it the moment we saw photos of it and knew it would be our venue. We worked with a number of different wedding coordinators in the run up to the wedding which was a little disconcerting, but everything went amazingly on the day. The hotel were very accommodating, quick to reply to questions and queries, and overall super friendly and inviting. We had the most incredible day. The food was amazing, the staff were brilliant, everything went off without a hitch. All guests mentioned how amazing the venue, staff, decor, food etc had been and everyone was very impressed. If we were to do it all over again, we would choose the Station House again.

We had an incredible day at The Station House. From the first day we saw this beautiful venue we knew it was the wedding venue for us. We unfortunately had to postpone for a year due to COVID though the venue worked we us and supported us through this difficult time. We are base in London so a lot had to be managed via Zoom calls though this was no difficulty at all. On the day everyone was so helpful for any queries and made the day really and amazing experience for us both. Thank you all so much!

The service on our wedding day was exceptional. All the staff were polite, helpful, professional and down to earth which we loved. The food was 10/10, everything from the canapés to the late night snacks went down a treat. And trying all the food at the menu tasting night was a great start to the wedding excitement. I would highly recommend The Station House to anyone getting married it's a magical place and we would love to do it all over again. The Signal Box suite was the icing on the cake too :)

We had our wedding day on 2nd April 2022. We could not recommend The Station House highly enough! From the initial booking to our big day, the staff were outstanding. Our wedding coordinator Shiyra was fantastic and made everything very stress free in the lead up to our wedding. Our food tasting night was an added bonus which we really enjoyed. The venue was magical, guests were blown away by it! We did our first dance outside which was so special, would definitely recommend this if the weather is dry. Food was fantastic on the night and for breakfast the next morning. The decor is beautiful and added touches like Voya products and pillow sprays etc in the room really add the final touches! We got married at the Station House recently and it was the most perfect day imaginable. It is such a beautiful location, the grounds are stunning. The fairylights along the aisle to the ceremony space were one of the reasons we booked. The recently refurbished rooms can't be faulted and each is beautifully and individually decorated. What can be said about the reception space in the Carraige Suite except WOW. Some guests told us they were left literally openmouthed at the ceiling.

The staff were incredible; so friendly, so helpful. Shiyra, Ross and Karen in particular were a delight. They went above and beyond to make our day extra special and our guests were so impressed with all the little touches, like blankets and umbrellas being provided for the outdoor ceremony.

The food was gorgeous. I would be more than happy to have their tropical sorbet and suckling pork belly at every meal for the rest of my life. I'm told the vegetarian options were also delicious and very fresh. Breakfast the next morning was particularly good, especially the poached eggs.

We stayed in the Grand Suite the night before.. what a beautiful room! The bed is the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the bath was stunning. I only wish I'd had time to use it. The Signal Suite is so sweet. A perfect slice of heavenly privacy for newlyweds.

We are so happy we decided to get married here and have every intention of returning again and again.

The SHH was the perfect choice of venue for us. We wanted a venue to cater for our wedding of 100 comfortably and we chose well. The SHH has a very homely feel and the staff truly treat you like part of the family for the entire planning process from right up to the big day. They were even there when I was walking down the aisle to the beautiful turntable where we said our vows. Stunning location all around, the function room is beautifully decorated so much so we required very little in the way of extra decorations. The food was phenomenal, we had a rack of lamb, chicken and monkfish options for dinner and we had nothing but praise for the amount of food and the quality of each course served. Emma the Op Manager was excellent and kept the whole day running to schedule and coordinated our suppliers. The guests we housed on site enjoyed the beautiful rooms, we've even heard of a few planning to revisit this hidden gem!! The team led by General Manager extraordinaire Valerie are nothing short of amazing. We did have some bumps along the way like all planning processes I'm sure but couldn't rate highly enough how everything was dealt with. Could not recommend a wedding there enough, when we checked out there was a couple viewing the venue and we hope the smiles on our faces sold it to them. Thank you SHH!

We want to thank Shyira, Emma and all the staff at the Station House Hotel for the most perfect day, more then what we could have ever imagined. It was magical and we wish we could do it all over again. The food, the setting and the overall atmosphere is outstanding. Our venue, The Station House held sentimental value as Cian grew up in a railway house and his grandfather and great grandfather worked on the rail line so the venue was just perfect for us. When we met with the team and visited the station house we knew we didn't need to look at any other venues as we were blown away. The venue itself is surrounded by beautiful grounds, has a lovely cosy welcoming vibe and has been recently renovated. Our guests were equally blown away and have all been raving about it. The team at the station house couldn't have done enough and played a huge part in making the day so special in particular Shiyra our wedding coordinator who was excellent to deal with and Emma on the day ensuring everything ran so smoothly. We couldn't recommend them more to future couples.

We were married in the station house on the 27th November 2021. Our original wedding date was in November 2020 but was postponed due to Covid 19. The wedding team in the station house could not have been more helpful and understanding during this transition and even helped to alleviate the stress as up until the last minute of our new wedding date in 2021 we weren't sure if things would go ahead again due to covid 19 restrictions. Thankfully we had our wedding with 100 guests and a finish time of 12pm. The staff were very professional throughout the difficult regulatory changes and adapted quickly. They were easy to contact by email or phone and we even found the general staff very helpful and knowledgeable regarding weddings when we visited for a meal on occasions as the food is divine. My husband became vegan in the run up to the wedding and they provided a vegan menu inclusive of wines without any delays. On the day we could not have thanked the staff enough everything went to plan and even little touches that I had not even thought about such as similar music to our chosen wedding song was played for the background music of the meal. All of the guests reported having an amazing day, everyone absolutely loved the first dance at the turn table and all the guests were very impressed by the food and service. Overall we had a fantastic wedding day, the hotel has a lovely family homely vibe which fit perfect for our wedding. With fabulous staff and an idyllic setting with beautifully kept grounds we would highly recommend this venue and a Christmas themed wedding in this setting is just magical :)

The wedding was just amazing from start to finish. From the moment we enquired about our wedding Sarah was brilliant and always on the other end of an email to help. The staff at the hotel were great. All our guests really enjoyed the wedding and all compliments about the food and the hotel grounds. The biggest seller for us was the amazing ceremony area the turntable it is so beautiful we are blessed to have our wedding outdoors. We would 100 percent recommend to anyone getting married.

We had booked our wedding on one of the old packages no longer available in the station house but when we had to delay our day by a few months there was no issue changing it. We dealt mainly with Aimee and Sarah who were extremely thorough on our pre wedding meeting and Sarah was there on the day and I couldn't have asked for more.
All our guests had an amazing time and sang the hotels praises and said the service was amazing.
The new decor in the Carriage Suite is stunning and made our photos more special.

Our experience with the station house was second to none, we loved every step on our journey with Sarah and the team, I can't thank them enough for all they done to make everything as smooth as possible, with covid we had to postpone twice and finally on our 3rd date it went ahead and nothing was to much for them. Everyone of our guests were in awe of the hotel and grounds and all the comment on our photos have said it looked like a fairytale and that's exactly how it felt, the food was out of this world and the options for the menu there alot of choices for all types. We had the most fabulous day especially as we were unsure if we would get 100 guests. Food was amazing and staff were super efficient.

I feel a little saddened when I read these amazing reviews of the Station House for people's weddings. I feel like I was not so lucky on my own day. Let me first say that the Station House is a stunning venue and we had the most beautiful ceremony there, and any of the staff we dealt with on the day were very nice. However the service on the day was a big disappointment and I'm still feeling let down by the Hotel. Our Wedding Coordinator was good to deal with on the run up to the wedding, but we hardly saw her on the day. We had a new manager in charge of our big day. It's obvious now that she was inexperienced. Where do I begin? There was no wine served at the dinner until I actually had to ask for them to serve it. They forgot to give our guests the toast drinks that we had arranged (I didn't even realise this until the next day and I was so embarrassed) Some of my friends have since told me that the service at dinner was not good. I shudder to think of what happened that I dont know about. The worst thing that happened was when manager closed the bar and actually went home at 12 o'clock without telling us there would be no more drink served. This was very upsetting. The manager eventually came back to the hotel and did us the 'favour' of selling us bottles of beer and wine. We were all residents and it never entered my head that this would happen. Perhaps Covid restrictions meant they had to close the bar at a certain time, however we were never told this beforehand. By the time the problem was sorted the majority of our guests had gone to bed which ended the night for us. There were a number of other silly mistakes that I won't mention. I filled in a questionnaire (honestly) at their request and I never even got a response to that. I chased it up and finally got an email from the General Manager who apologised and offered us a free night at the Hotel. I have since emailed about this and yet again got no response. I paid good money for my wedding at the Station House yet I've been left with a very bad taste in my mouth about the whole day. We were a very very easy couple to deal with, who made no demands, but they got the simplest things wrong. I feel a big sense of unfairness that people have amazing weddings at the Station House while we were so badly let down on the day.

We got married at the station house and we truly could not have had a better day. The setting is beautiful, the turntable and the walk way up to it in particular is like a fairytale. The newly refurbished carraige suite is also stunning and so different from a typical hotel function room. The rooms and overall finish of the hotel itself is just superb. Food was also excellent and there was plenty! We also loved having exclusive use of the venue which was a big priority for us. Staff were amazing, in particular wedding co-ordinator Sarah and manager Niamh were just a god send they could not have done more for us, every request was catered to. Couldn't recommend the station house more!

It took me a long time to write this review, we have been married for over 4 months at this stage but I wanted to make sure my review was not written out of emotion and that we still felt this way a few months down the line.
I do not like writing unhappy reviews, however, myself and my husband spent our entire life savings on this day and it just was not up to the service we expected or paid for. For context, we got married during Covid 19 when we could only have 25 guests at the wedding reception, in order to function with this little numbers we had to pay an additional venue hire fee, which put the cost of our per person amount at almost double the original (I did not have a problem with this at the time, but I am disappointed with the service for the money we paid).
Let me start by saying we had a wonderful day regardless, the venue was beautiful, the staff were lovely and our guests had a great day. However due to the service on the day we were very disappointed. On the run up to the wedding we had been working with the wedding coordinator who was excellent, she really has a gift for weddings and made us feel confident and taken care of. Unfortunately, she was not there for the whole day of the wedding, she was only there at the beginning of the day. I didn't not expect her to be there for the whole day but I expected the person left in charge after her to be informed about my wedding.
Numerous things on our wedding day either were wrong or didn't happen.
During the ceremony I had asked for the pink carpet on the aisle as I didn't like red carpets, I had showed a picture of the pink carpet and they said they weren't sure if they still had it but if they did they would use it and if they didn't there would be no carpet, which I agreed to. However on the day of the wedding there was an old tattered red carpet which I didn't know about until walking down the aisle, it is now in all of our wedding pictures and looks horrible. I guess there was a communication issue on which of the old carpets to use.
On the day my husband had to ask for the bathroom baskets we had made to be put in the bathrooms as he saw that there weren't there.
During the reception numerous things went wrong, and old seating plan was used with people who were not at the wedding as they couldn't travel, even though I had sent the most updated one within the time frame they required. I had to check over the table and ask them to get the placecards for the guests that were not on the old seating plan.
When we sat down to eat, there hadn't been enough seats put out, which made me terribly embarrassed as it looked as though my grandparents weren't supposed to be at the wedding, because of this my grandparents table wasn't decorated and they didn't receive their placecard or menu which I had made.
I know its only a small thing but the candle sticks on the table were not the ones we had chosen either.
There was no music played during the reception even though they were given what music to play, my husband had spent months curating a playlist for this. We also had to ask for the speeches to take place, however, none of the staff knew how use the speaker so my husband had to leave the reception to go out to the car and get the speakers we had hired for the ceremony and set up the sound himself . When we went into the bar after the meal there was still no music being played, there was supposed to be a different playlist that my husband had curated for this part of the day. Instead his sister had to give them her phone to play, meaning she had no phone for the night.

It felt that we had to check every single detail at every step of the wedding which is the last thing we wanted on the day.
Then after all that, on the morning after our wedding, we were staying in their bridal sweet which is a separate building and also where the bridal party had gotten ready. They did not tell us that there was only one tank of water. I had a bath in the morning and I guess with that on top of the bridesmaids getting ready there, there was no hot water left for my husband to have a shower. When he tried to use the cold shower, it then broke and would not turn off, we rang reception with no answer so my husband went down to get someone. There was then a workman in our room for the whole morning and my husband had to shower in his sisters room. I do not have any issues with the shower breaking, it's a part of life and not something you can plan for, however, there were no accommodations made for us, no other shower or space provided, thankfully his sister offered her her room.

Overall we were just so disappointed on the day especially because of the extra cost we had to pay. Let me stress that the staff were really kind and helpful when asked upon. The issue seemed like it was communication, their staff on the day should have been given detailed information about our wedding.

This venue was superb. We could not find fault with anything. The staff were incredible. The food was fantastic. The rooms were fabulous. We had the most incredible wedding here at this venue. The grounds are beautifully maintained. We had a small wedding (due to covid restrictions) and the hotel accommodated everything that we needed to make it a magical day.

Having seen our wedding postponed twice, both in March and August, we re-booked the Station House for November. Having originally booked for over 120 guests we worried that our big day would not be as memorable with just 25 guests. How wrong we were!

A smaller crowd meant that our venue was changed from the function room to the restaurant. The wedding team in the Station House created a stunning venue for us and our guests. Flowers, scented candles and personalized menu cards were expertly arranged to create a heavenly reception venue.

On arrival at the Station House we were met by friendly and attentive staff who served up prosecco, craft beer and delicious canapes. Photographs were taken in the stunning grounds of the hotel. From the beautiful gardens to the historic turntable, there were so many idyllic places for wedding photos to be taken. Our photographer commented that it was an ideal setting.

Following our speeches which were held in the bar, we moved into the restaurant for the meal. Every guest commented on the quality of the meal from start to finish. it is impossible to pick out a highlight of the meal - it was so good. More than enough for all guests and extras offered to those with a larger appetite. Staff during the meal were very attentive and were quick to assist with anything requested by guests.

Following our meal we retired back to the bar. Although no live music was permitted due to COVID rules, the intimate atmosphere of the bar meant there was no shortage of chats and laughs. Luckily for us, a wedding guest was a trained pianist and he was happy to play some tunes on the hotel's piano which of course lead to an impromptu sing-song.

At the end of the night we retired to our honeymoon suite. The Honeymoon Suite simply is a must-see. Luxury, comfort and history all rolled into one. The Station House Hotel went above and beyond to ensure we had a dream day. The wedding team of Aimee and Sarah went above and beyond to ensure we had a dream day.

The Station House Hotel is a wonderful location for a wedding, highlighted by the warmth and professionalism of their staff, who were extremely friendly and helpful, with no request being too much for them. This was emphasised by their wedding coordinator Aimee, who was fantastic to deal with. We had to postpone our wedding from March until September due to Covid and Aimee was always so positive and friendly, no matter the question or issue and always put our minds at ease.
It is a beautiful location and one we fell in love with from our first viewing. The recent renovations to the hotel have made it even more charming. The whole process from food tasting to our wedding day was great and very relaxed. Aimee was always on hand to guide us through the whole process, giving advice and ensuring that our wedding day would reflect what we were looking for and would run smoothly.
We were extremely lucky with the weather for the weekend as it was lovely and sunny. The wedding itself had a very relaxed atmosphere, thanks to Aimee, Emma and the staff. We had an amazing day, and nothing was too much to ask. The function room, turntable and grounds were decorated beautifully. With the great weather, we were able to spend more time outside chatting with our guests and take advantage of the grounds. The grounds are beautiful, they are nice to explore and are a great setting for wedding photos. The hotel is a lovely, relaxed setting full of charm.

We got married in the Station House in September 2020. We were one of the few lucky couples who were able to actually have our wedding this year. We had to make some changes in line with restrictions, but the day turned out so special for us that we really didn't mind in the end. The staff in the Station House were to thank for that. Even in the middle of all the madness and uncertainty of Covid restrictions, Aimee and all the team at the Station House really made us feel that our wedding day was the most important thing going on!

The venue itself has a beautiful set up and it was perfect for a personal wedding with no fussing. All the staff made everything so easy for us and our guests were all very impressed with the venue and the food as well couldn't have been better. We were extremely well looked after on the day.

We would definitely recommend the Station House as a perfect wedding venue!

We got married in the Station House, Kilmessan on the 4th of September which was our original date. We had a short engagement and organised our wedding within 5 months however regardless of the short time our journey was plain sailing and enjoyable thanks to the general manager Emma and our wedding co ordinator Aimee, no question was silly or task too big for these incredible girls! Organising a wedding during a pandemic and also working on the frontline was challenging but regards our venue we didn't have to worry about anything. On our wedding day the sun was out and we got to get married outside with incredible photos around the grounds, everyone felt safe with guidelines adhered to and we were able to enjoy our wedding day despite reduced numbers.

After having to reschedule and eventually cancel our destination dream wedding we decided to have a look at some Irish venues.
We immediately fell head over heels in love with The Station House Hotel, Kilmessan. We were sold before even sitting down and chatting with Aimee Mooney, the wedding coordinator.
It all got even better from there.
In the midst of a pandemic and such tight restrictions we were looked after with such care. Nothing we asked for was too much.
Aimee and the team kept in touch during every government announcement. They were there when I needed a cry about numbers, they helped me figure out how to keep everyone happy during such challenging times.
This was all new for them too, and they handled it amazingly. I didn't have to do any stressing on the short lead up to our special day.
The price of the packages they offer is absolutely amazing. We were on a tight budget with loosing out from our original wedding booking but it wasn't tight for The Station House. We were blown away by what was included in the packages, we were so delighted to be able to afford so much. We went for the Summer Express package - it is excellent.
We got married on the 18th August 2020 and the day went so smoothly and perfectly. Aimee and Emma Donegan looked after everything, I didn't need to think about a thing other than having a fantastic day.
The grounds are absolutely stunning. The food was so gorgeous - from breakfast, afternoon tea, nibbles and dinner. The facilities are excellent and you want for nothing. You don't even need to do any decorating because their decor is simply stunning.
Although the venue is an old train station it was fully accessible for both my daughter who has mobility issues and my nana who is 95. The grounds are small and intimate and there was rooms to suit every one.
The hotel's accommodation is fabulous. It is newly renovated. It is so chic, stylish and vintage all in one. Right up my street! And also so fitting with the beautiful surroundings.
We got married in the turntable, it was the most enchanted, stunning and unique place. The sound of nature and the tall trees surrounding us was just magical.
I can't stress enough that under such tight rules and restrictions Aimee and Emma really made our day so perfect and full of love. While being very professional it was like having two friends organise and guide your wedding day.

we got married in August 2020 and had an amazing day. the staff were very accommodating friendly and helpful. food was lovely and the night was great in general. we couldnt have asked for much more considering the restrictions brought about by covid19 both us and the venue had to make unfortunate compromises but it all worked out great in the end. will definitely recommend.

We had our wedding at the Station House in March. We had a fabulous day and staff at the Station House went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. Aimee and Sarah were so helpful throughout the entire process, and were very accommodating when covid restrictions resulted in changes to dates and wedding numbers. The hotel, which has recently been refurbished, was beautiful and was a hit with our guests. The grounds are spectacular too. Our reception was held in the library room, which offered a beautiful and cozy ambiance. The waiter (unfortunately I didn't get his name) was amazing, so polite, professional, and helpful! All our guests were complimentary of his friendly service. Overall would highly recommend the Station House for a wedding. Thanks for making our day so memorable!

The Station House Hotel is a fantastic venue for a wedding and I would highly recommend it to any couple.

There was nothing I could fault them for. Every aspect of our day was covered and all the extra little details that made the day so special and unforgettable. The setting and grounds are fabulous for photographs. The bridal suite is beyond amazing - a very unique experience.

The staff were all brilliant and so friendly and helpful. I have regularly been at a wedding where you feel at the end of your night you have overstayed your welcome. This was not the case the staff at the end of the night were still as friendly as they were at the beginning of the evening.

The food was beautiful and we have since gone back to have dinner there on special occasions.

The Station House Hotel is a must see for any couple that are looking at venues for their special day. They will not be let down by this quaint special place.

Jade and Emma were very good to me on the days running up to our wedding , Jade was very helpful and and if I had a question about anything she was at the other end of the line and always rang me back. Emma was there on the day of our wedding and she was so good to me and my partner I was very nervous and she reassured me that all would be ok,Emma was so nice and so friendly to all of our family and friends.

One word to describe The Station House is magical. On the 07 September 2019 my dream came true. I had the perfect wedding day in the most beautiful setting. If you are looking for vintage, romantic, and something special the Station House will not let you down! Words can't describe how magical this place is with its fairy lights, vintage decor and amazing team. I train customer service skills, and as such have very high expectations for same. The team at the Station House excel at making you and your guests feel at home. I remember a few days before the big day we were in the Station House finalising last minute details, and while we there one of the lounge girls and bar men came up to us to personally introduce themselves, and wish us luck before the big day, which I thought was a lovely gesture. I also have to give a special thank you to Jade and Emma, (wedding coordinator and operational manager) for making sure everything ran like clockwork on the day. Great to be able to have an outdoor wedding in such an unusual and beautiful setting (has to be seen to be believed). Staff were really great and the level of service was outstanding.
Found Michelle and Niamh, the two wedding coordinators we dealt with very professional and easy going.
Emma, the restaurant manager was in charge of things on the day itself and was really outstanding, in particular making a special effort with elderly guests and their dietary requirements.
Food was top notch and again allergies and dietary requirements were very well catered for.
Lovely to have such an intimate and private venue for the day. Loved our day and the Station House really lived up to its reputation. A big thank you to all the staff!

We had a fabulous wedding weekend at the Station House, Emma and the team on the weekend were amazing and everything went off so well. In the run up to the wedding, there was a change of wedding planners and we found it hard to communicate as were were dealing with 2/3 diff people becuase of this some small things got missed. Other than that we were over the moon at how well our wedding went and would recommend to anyone

We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our day, We got married in the turntable and it was absolutely magical. Michelle and Emma and the rest of the staff couldn't have done more for us. The day totally exceeded our expectations. From the very first visit to kilmessan we were made feel so welcome and nothing was ever a problem for the staff, they were so professional and friendly. Honestly the best day ever.

We decided in November 2018 to look for a venue with a date in mind of March 2019! We had looked at some other venues but the outdoor ceremony site with all the fairy lights and lanterns really sold it for us. And the intimate homey feel, we would be the only ones there so no strange guests would be wandering around. Michelle was amazing and so accommodating of our scatter-brain planning style. They provided a list of suppliers that we could use or not, after some searching we booking all of the recommended suppliers, they were brilliant. They set out realistic and achievable deadlines for payments so it didn't feel overwhelming. Michelle even gave us the idea for The Fire Guys for our evening entertainment. 6 months later, people are still talking about it. Emma on the day was like a super-ninja, out of sight working her magic so nothing went sideways. The outdoor ceremony was beautiful, food was amazing, definitely worth going back just to eat! It didnt feel stuffy and "the usual". The salmon was divine. I loved the throne chairs especially with my poofy dress. They really thought of all the little things to make our big day unforgettable.

All the staff that we dealt with were so friendly, helpful amd professional. They ensured the whole thing was stress free - including the day itself and we couldn't thank them enough.

We don't live in Ireland and so had to organise everything from overseas. The wedding team were really helpful and made it really easy to get everything arranged. We had a dedicated co-ordinator from day 1 and on the day itself. She was absolutely amazing to deal with made our day go so smoothly.

We had our wedding on October 20th this year. To say it was an amazing day would be an understatement. For a start, obviously the venue is absolutely beautiful and the old train turntable in the woods was what initially sold us on this venue as we really wanted an outdoor ceremony more than anything. The hotel itself is also lovely, the bar area and library are very cosy and welcoming.. all our guests kept telling us how lovely the place was and how it was one of the nicest venues they?d ever been at for a wedding! On the day, I have to say the staff were superb, they were there to help and be there 100% for every request and query, in particular I want to mention Grainne from front desk and Emma who was there facilitating everything for the ceremony and reception, they really couldn't have done more and again people have been commenting on how great the staff were. The food was beautiful and again everyone said how fab it was especially the mains which were chicken and salmon.. I couldn't have asked for a better day and we?re so happy we chose the Station House, I only wish we could do it all again! The day whizzes by sooo fast :)

We had our wedding at the station house hotel in September 2018 we also used their all inclusive package. I have to say from the moment we went to view the hotel every single member of staff were so friendly, helpful and professional! Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and on our wedding day we did not once have to worry about a thing! The all inclusive package is amazing value for money and such a life saver if like myself your life was already hectic before you started planning your wedding! Last but not least I can't forget to mention the stunning grounds at the station house hotel are such a fab bonus to an already fantastic venue! We had such an enjoyable wedding day I could not recommend this place any more!

Myself and johann had a wonderful day as did all our guests.the team were amazing on the day. A special thanks to niamh and emma x our only thing was that our polaroid camera disnt work which was a bit disapointing .it only took a few photos so my book is quite empty and we did explain to the hotel the day after but i didnt hear anyting back.as there is a cost for this camera i wanted to let ye no x also some of our guests rooms were quite cold

We had our wedding at the Station house hotel and it was the best decision we made, from the start of the ceremony to the end of the night it was amazing. The setting for an outdoor wedding is absolutely stunning. The food at our reception was beautiful. We had our big day on the 13/7/18 and so sad it's all over! We loved every minute of working with the station house hotel from our first visit right up until we left the morning after our big day. The venue itself is stunning and so quirky. We were sold on our first visit. The staff and wedding team were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The wedding meal was amazing and I couldn't fault a thing on the day itself except that it went too quick!! Loved every second of our day and our guests are still talking about it. Can't wait to come back for our anniversary. Would highly recommend to any couple looking for a picturesque and homely wedding venue.x

The Station House Hotel was a wonderful place to get married. Emmet, Niamh and all the team went above and beyond for us and created a truly special day. Niamh took every little detail into account and was so professional throughout. Emmet was by our side from beginning to end. Always at the other end of the phone and very fast responding to the many emails sent. The hotel staff are all so friendly - there is a lovely, warm, family feel in The Station House Hotel.

Emmet also talked us through the whole day and was always a few steps ahead of us making sure the day ran smoothly from start to finish and was there with a glass of prosecco or a pint for us in little moments of quiet!

I would thoroughly recommend The Station House Hotel for any special occasion. The food is delicious. The grounds are immaculately kept and the hotel itself is so charming. All our guests had a fabulous time and we had a Wedding we cherish forever.

My husband and I got married in the Station House in early May. We have nothing but good memories from the weekend and the Station House, all its staff played a huge part in this regard. Emmet, the wedding planner, deserves a special mention as he was our point of contact and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day.

From when we first went in to discuss our big day, we found the Station House very accommodating and receptive to our requests. Emmet was always available to us and responded to any e-mails, calls and requests in a very timely manner.

We were very lucky to get a beautiful sunny day and weekend and as result the reception could be spread between the Carriage Suite and the beautifully turned out gardens. We got some great photographs out here also and it certainly enhanced the reception hugely.

As with any wedding, the food is extremely important and we received a huge amount of positive feedback about the meal. It went down well with all the guests and personally we really enjoyed it also.

All in all, we couldn't have been happier with the day I would certainly recommend the The Station House as an exceptional wedding venue.

The moment we drove up the driveway of The Station House we knew this was the place we were going to get married. The grounds and hotel are quaint, intimate and rustic. We found all the staff but especially Vivienne, Henry, Grainne and Emmet extremely helpful, understanding, patient, professional and empathetic. They listened to our needs and helped us create a magical day that was tailored to our wishes. Their attention to detail was second to none. We simply couldn't have asked for more, we had the best day of our lives and some of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. We are so thankful for everything.

My husband Ciaran and I got married in the station house at the end of September and I can honestly say it was the best day of my life the staff couldn't do more for us they were so helpful nothing was too much. Vivienne and Henry are amazing they made the day so relaxed and fun their attention to detail was unreal no stone left unturned. I would recommend this hotel to everyone as its homely, relaxed and so unique with the old train station.

When we where looking at venues for our wedding one of the most important things to us was , privacy , quirky venue, great food and service ..well the Station House does not disappoint . This venue is one of the most unusual ones in Ireland , given its outdoor space and history we both fell in love with this on arrival . The station house team to name a few , Viviene, Henry , Conor and Emmet are the most pleasant and reliable team I have ever dealt with , they go above and beyond to insure you are keep relaxed and anything you want on the day happens no matter what !

The food is amazing which was very important to us . The outdoor cermony was amazing , all our guests where blown away by the cermony in the forest . The afters in the room is brilliant as it's not to big, Just right and w e had 155 guests !

Rooms are clean , and in fitting with the hotel old fashioned. We had a dinner the night before and the Station House handled everything so well , as I keep on saying the staff have you only and make sure everything you discussed and paid for happens. The Station House Hotel where a pleasure to deal with from start to finish , our day was perfect , even with the rain.

Very responsive, helpful and they really made a huge effort for my family and me and the weathervwasnt going my way but everyone was determined it would be outside which it was!

From the moment we went to visit the station house we fell in love with it, from the moment we met henry and Vivienne we knew that it was the venue for us.

Everything from start to finish was fantastic! I didn't have one worry on the day, Henry, vivienne and all the staff took care of everything, the venue was stunning, the food was amazing. The staff were helpful and courteous. The intimate setting meant there was no one but my guests staying the night in the hotel so we really had it all to ourselves. I couldn't have asked for a better day so many personal touches.

Generally had a great experience but we had a change in staff during between booking and the wedding so there was some delay in getting a response. Eoghan was great on the day. Food was great, location in beautiful.

We were seeking a venue for a small wedding. In most other venues, our wedding would have been lost and treated as low priority, but with the Station house, we were always made feel as if we were their number one priority. They were happy to make changes to the set offerings to suit our needs, and the staff at all times were helpful and friendly.

A magical place to get married. We had our wedding out in the woods and each and every guest commented on how intimate, unique and special it was. From the moment we visited the hotel to view it until after our wedding day, we were provided with fantastic service - prompt, helpful, accommodating and friendly. The staff were excellent on the day and the day after when our close family stayed with us there. I really can't say enough about the place it made our day the best day of our lives and gave us a wedding day that all of our guests said they will remember.

Perfect, unique and intimate setting, premises made us feel very special and I liked that our wedding was the only event being held on the day.

This was the first premises we looked at, and with every subsequent premises we visited we were just comparing them to The station House.

I was a very chilled out bride and had total support from the Wedding Planner Sarah. It was a total pleasure in dealing with everyone at the station house. The only thing that couldnt be controlled was the weather which was like the band Wet Wet Wet but that didnt dampen our day at the venue
