Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort

We are so delighted to have had our wedding reception in Druids Glen. I went for a spa day with a friend just after getting engaged and we were both so impressed with the service, professionalism and quality of food. Myself and Shane were so delighted that there was a date available for us. We must really commend Nessa as she was so easy to work with and made us feel at ease throughout the whole planning process. We had the most wonderful day and were so well looked after all across the wedding weekend. All the staff were so kind and helpful on the day and all our guests were so complimentary. We had friends and family from across Ireland and abroad who were keen to return to the hotel in the future. We'd highly recommend the Druids Glen to anyone thinking of getting married in the area.

Booked Druids Glen for our wedding in August and couldn’t have been happier with our choice! Nessa was wonderful to work with and did everything in her power to make our day as magical as possible. The hotel and golf club was the best setting possible and we couldn’t have asked for more. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

The staff in Druids Glen were absolutely amazing. Nessa (wedding coordinator) was fantastic. There was nothing she couldn’t organise. Nothing was to much. Ivan was brilliant with wedding menu/wine. I had nothing to think about only to enjoy the day. Every request was met and exceeded.

I don't even know where to begin with a review of Druids Glen for our wedding.
It was the most amazing day ever and we can never thank Nessa or her team enough.
We had our ceremony there in a beautiful room as well as our reception there.
The day flowed without a hitch and was perfectly coordinated by the team there. I never once felt stressed or worried, everything was taken care of leaving my husband and I to just enjoy our day and make the most amazing memories.
The food was to die for, our reception room was beautifully decorated and the little extras of the ice cream bike and the wishing well are touches that we and our guests loved.
Unfortunately because of the weather we were unable to take pictures out in the stunning grounds there, but Druids Glen is such a beautiful resort that it really wasn't an issue.
All in all, our day was amazing, the staff were all fantastic from door staff to reception to waiting staff at our meal, and we really couldn't have asked for more.
It was perfect.

Had our wedding here August 19th and it was great.Nessa Kearney is the wedding coordinator and she is just brilliant an absolute lady to deal with,nothing is a problem for her,very efficient in everything she does.We looked at other hotels and just found it was Nessa that brought us back with how well she treated us.

I couldnt recommend Druids Glen enough...they have been fantastic before the wedding with all the support and help they provided...during the wedding they all were absolutely amazing...we had to worry about Nothing. ... All went to plan with the help of the wedding coordinator Nessa and her super amazing team... and even after the wedding they still stay brilliant....and every wedding anniversary we had we still went/go back to Druids Glen...their food and service is just unbeatable and unbelievable

We had such a magical day from start to finish ... Nessa is amazing at her job and she made the day go so perfect.

Words fail to do justice to the service provided by the entire staff of Druids glen on our wedding day last August. However if I am to tell the full story it wasn't a surprise. From pretty much the moment we walked through the doors on our first visit we were sold on the location.
We had travelled down just to have a look around with no appointment, once we mentioned we were looking for a wedding venue the duty manager Duncan McAlpin dropped everything and sat down with us in the bar for over an hour and went through everything with us. We had viewed a number of venues at that point and not one had come close to the attention we received from Druids Glen at that point.
We had our minds almost made up leaving that day and any doubts evaporated within minutes of meeting Nessa Kearney the wedding co-ordinator a couple of weeks later. So thoroughly professional but incredibly personable with it, a nicer person would be hard to meet, her attention to detail, her willingness to meet any request we had where possible and her knowledge made it easy to put our trust in her to plan the day and know nothing would go wrong.
She was available instantly if needed in the lead up to the wedding and any question or query was answered. Which brings us to the day itself. The hotel looked amazing, the staff were sensational, Nessa had the room set up exactly the way we wanted it. The food was of the highest quality, the service was exemplary, and the attention afforded us made us feel like royalty. The bar staff earned their money but never seemed like it was a chore, even when the residents bar went on and on!!
Druids Glen is responsible for all the little touches and one that sticks with me is the next day all the staff knew us by name going for breakfast (which is worth traveling for alone). We had the option of a barbecue the next day and again the food exceeded expectations even if the weather didn't.
We have been delighted to receive many compliments from our guests saying how enjoyable our wedding was but we both know that a huge amount of the praise is due to the venue itself which is stunning and the staff from top to bottom who I couldn't speak highly enough of.
To sum up I'd suggest to anyone thinking about booking a wedding, look no further than Druids Glen primarily because their wedding co-ordinator Nessa Kearney will put all your ideas into action and ensure the day will be everything you hope it will be.

When I walked through the reception on the wedding open day in February 2011, I instantly knew this is where I wanted to have my wedding reception, however being a five star resort I wasn't sure if it was within our budget. We continued on and briefly met this warm, friendly lady in the wedding reception room who said she would speak to us after we viewed the function room. I knew instantly that it would break my heart if we couldn't have our reception here. The room was everything I was looking for, the venue was everything I wanted. We met with Nessa, your fairy godmother ????who was just so nice, explained everything to a fine detail about what was included in the package, I had a tear in my eye and she knew this. On walking out of Druids glen that day I made a decision no matter what we were having our wedding reception there. Nessa had sold it to me.
Best decision I ever made, (besides saying yes to my husband ???? ) from the time we met Nessa for a second time until 28th September 2012 Nessa and the team at Druids glen were superb, they go above and beyond to make you feel special, as it should be.
The service was superb, staff were so friendly, food on the day was perfect. Room was perfect, like a fairy tale. All my guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay and constantly remark on the reception . We had a spectacular wedding at Druids Glen, value for money, you get so much more.
If any couple are considering their wedding at Druids glen, my response would be just book it, you won't be let down.

We have been back to Druids glen numerous times and will continue to be my hotel of choice, I will recommend to anyone.

Greetings from Phuket!! Just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you so very very much for
everything. Our wedding was everything we had hoped for and more and we couldn't have been treated
any better from the Friday to the Monday when we left. From the very first day dealing with you Nessa
we were in love with Druids. You are such a lovely person and even though we absolutely loved the place
if you weren't the person you are our decision would not have been made as quickly as it was. Druids
was the first place we looked and we didn't even want to look anywhere else but feeling we really should
we looked at a couple of places and were only dying to find fault to bring us back to where we really
wanted to be.
Not only have you been amazing to us Nessa, accommodating us at every turn and always making us feel
like ours was the only wedding you had on, the staff at Druids were brilliant too. Everyone at the
wedding was saying it the next day and not only that for those of us who stayed the whole weekend we
were made feel as important as the new weddlnq in the following day. You can't pay for that kind of
kindness.
Also on the last day as we went to check our we realised a vey important bank draft was missing to pay
the rest of our bill and Edel on reception, who was so nice to us, reassured us that we could come back
and pay another time and that she didn't want us worrying on honeymoon (we were going straight to the
airport). We got it sorted there before we left but we were touched by how nice she was and what a
great place Druids is that they would do that for a customer.
Anyway as I say we're away and I will drop you a mail when I get back, and we will call down to you, but
we just didn't want to have two wait weeks to say thanks so so much. You are amazing at your job Nessa
and we will be back to Druids time and again.
All our thanks to all staff, including your CEO who twice came over and asked us if everything was ok.

The Hotel is not only superb for its setting with beautiful views, and exquisite interior, its best feature is actually the staff who could not do enough for us for the whole weekend, not just the wedding night.

The Res Bar overlooks the Golf Course and the hotel structure itself is the best well-kept hotel I have ever been in with an amazing bridal suite. But it has to be the personal touch from the staff that seperates it from other hotels I've stayed in. Staff cant do enough for you. Apart from one issue over the deserts being slow to arrive after the main course due to crossed wires over when speches were, Cant recommend this hotel enough for a wedding.

We don’t really know how to put into words how much we enjoyed every minute of our wedding day in Druids Glen! We enjoyed the whole experience dealing with you, from the moment we booked the hotel, to the menu tasting, to the big day itself. You are extremely helpful and organised and we knew we were in good hands and didn’t have to worry about anything so it really took the pressure off us in the lead up. You would think that we were the only bride and groom you were looking after and made us feel so special. We really had the most amazing day, our guests are still complimenting us on the exceptional service from all the staff and the quality of the food served on the day. You have a brilliant team at Druids Glen. They couldn’t have done more to help us. We would also like to take the opportunity to thank Anne Marie Hayden who went out her way looking after us on the wedding day and also to Pawel who was also a great help all day. We must say that it was like we were ‘under a spell’ for the whole weekend. Again, thanks so much, we will definitely visit Druids Glen for more wonderful weekends!

What a hotel. OMG. Outstanding, Top Class all the way, this hotel covers every aspect of your big day.

What made the day so special was the detail and personalization from start to finish. You expect great service from a 5* hotel but the svc here is exceptional all the time. The wedding coordinator, Nessa is superb, the food tasting night, meeting the chef on our menu choices, hotel taking photos of the meals so u know what to expect on the day, recommended supplier list for flowers, music and cars, closeness to Dublin, room set up is breathtaking, the grounds & inside setting for super photos, recently renovated ballroom with bar inside which was so important to us and beautiful contemporary honeymoon suite.

The room set up was so amazing that it took our guests a minute or so before anyone would walk in. the echo of the word 'WOW' is one we remember. The food in the hotel is mouthwatering & vegetarian starter and main included was bonus. For our kids there is a playroom close to the ballroom with games and DVD TV, was great during meal & speeches.

Overall the wedding package we got was excellent value for money with additions and personalization on the day topped it for us. A few friends stayed the following night in the hotel with us and we got the same attention and service as the previous day. The all inclusive package is definitely the way to go as all the work is with the hotel and you can just relax and enjoy the day knowing full well that everything is in hand.

Getting married there is just surreal....We would love to do it all again and there would be no hesitation on where it would be... The Druids Glen.
