I got married in Rosedale House over Easter and want to let people know about the fantastic service we received there. We very much wanted an informal wedding and this is exactly what we got at Rosedale House. Goff, the owner, is very relaxed and easy going and I feel this attitude really added to overall laid back nature of the day. Daragh, of Rainbow Wedding / EventsbyDD is the wedding planner employed by the venue and he was just superb. He was methodical, highly-organised, detail oriented and a pleasure to deal with. Everything you need a planner to be. Daragh said he would leave no stone unturned to make our day perfect and he certainly delivered on that front. Goff and Daragh are an excellent combination and their skill sets compliment each other well. I found communication with the venue in the run up to the event was excellent. We had a civil ceremony and meal at the house during the day attended by our immediate families which numbered 40 people. This took place in the beautiful drawing room, as did our civil service. Catering for this was provided by Andrew Rudd of Medley and the food was outstanding. Everyone was very impressed by the standard and Andrew was a pleasure to be around on the day. That evening we had a party for 140 people. Catering for this was provided by Adventure Catering and was in the style of informal street food canapes. We had the likes of beef sliders, mini fish and chips, nachos etc. and everyone raved about the food. Entertainment was provided by the band Love Sick Puppies and DJ Steve Reddy and we were delighted with both. The nightclub floor was full all night! All of these combined made it one hell of a party! We did not want a typical wedding and instead aimed for a “Wedding Party” and Rosedale House is the ideal venue for this type of event. We wanted something unique and I really think we managed to achieve that with the help of all the people mentioned above. Rosedale House do not provide an all in one package. They provide you with a panel of suppliers and you liaise with each to create your unique event with help from Daragh of course. This arrangement was perfect for us as we had no interest in a formulaic one size fits all wedding. And if you feel the same well then Rosedale House is probably the perfect venue for you. Once again thanks to everyone involved for making our day as amazing as it was. We loved every minute and appreciate so much everyone’s hard work.
