Our day would not have been the amazing day it was without our wonderful venue and wedding planner Gina at Powerscourt hotel. From the first day we viewed the room to the day itself the team were nothing but professional, flexible and just lovely to deal. Covid through some curve balls and the team were so flexible with us changing dates, numbers and design. Everyone had a fantastic night and at no point did we need to worry or stress as we knew the venue had everything sorted. Gina was an absolute gem who was there at every step to answer our questions and tweak things to suit us. I can not recommend her enough!! We would highly recommend Powerscourt hotel to anyone looking for a special place with beautiful surroundings for their wedding day.

The Powerscourt team are first class and gave us the very best wedding we could possibly have had. Everything from the food to the staff exceeded expectations! Jens and his team run a smooth operation and are fun and professional to deal with. We are so grateful for the memories.

Amazing day, amazing venue. Nothing was too much trouble and really pulled out all the stops for us on the day. Few hitches with room bookings for bridal party but fixed in a timely manner. Definitely recommend for wedding venue! The menu tasting at chefs table in the kitchen was Amazing! 5* all the way.

We loved our wedding day and our guests had a ball. We thoroughly enjoyed dealing with Eimear and her team in the lead up to the day. Nothing was a problem and on the day itself we didn't have think about anything, Eimear knew what we wanted or needed before we knew ourselves.

Lovely team to deal with. Great communication. Very professional. Only complaint would be that as they are a multinational company there was very little negotiation.

Overall we were delighted with our day. The staff in the hotel were extremely professional and helpful and always a pleasure to deal with. Our wedding coordinator was readily available and happy to answer all our silly questions without ever making us feel annoying.
However, there are a few things to mention which we were really disappointed with. We had requested (via email and throughout several conversations in person) that additional potato and vegetables be served with the dinner as we knew our guests were the type to want more than was provided in our tasting. On the day, extra potato was given but the extra vegetables weren't. We didn't bother to say anything as we figured by the time the vegetables would have been cooked our guests would be finished their meals.
Also, with regards to food we had expressed our concern for the food for the "afters". We made it clear we wanted more than enough for everyone and did not want any of our guests to leave hungry. We were reassured by our wedding coordinator that our order was more than sufficient for our numbers. However this was not the case. Unfortunately there was nowhere near enough food and several of our guests are still complaining even to this day. This was such a disappointment as we could not have expressed the importance of that not happening more.
Finally, as it was my husband's 30th birthday the same day, I had asked if the chefs would prepare a cake several weeks before the wedding (at an additional cost of course) to be presented to him as a surprise on the day. The evening of our wedding I had a member of staff approach me asking if I had brought candles for the cake, which I hadn't. The cake was brought out by a member of staff and just put on a pod table in front of my husband. I found this was incredibly unprofessional and tactless. The fact there were no candles on it aside, there wasn't even a happy birthday written on it in icing. I would have preferred the staff to notify the musician that the cake would be coming so he could have gathered our guests over to sing happy birthday to my husband. I am still extremely disappointed in how that was all handled as I was really looking forward to acknowledging his birthday with those closest to us but it never happened.
Overall we were happy with our day but almost 2 years later those things have still left an impression and even my parents who were frequent guests of the hotel no longer go back.
